This movie came in a little under the radar when it was released. I seen it in theaters but it was a last minute "that looks cool" type decision. That decision ended up paying dividends in entertainment however. There are several character in this that steal the show at various points, not least of which is William Hurt who was nominated for best supporting actor. Keep in mind he was barely in the film, he was just that good. Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen both put in some of their best work. I would advise not to watch the horrendous trailer though, just buy it and watch it with as little info as you can, and just drink in the performances.
I bought this dvd before, I just want blu ray dvds since I purchased a 65 inch flat screen tv. Viggo is a very good actor, the first time I saw him was in the movie Witness with Harrison Ford. This man is a very good actor. This movie is pretty good too, it's kind of a gangster movie. I really like this movie.
