I have been a fan of the Ace Attorney games, and was thrilled to hear that there was going to be an anime adaptation. What we got was a bit of a disappointment for longtime fans. The animation does take some getting used to, and some of the story and humor from the games are lost/cut for time. But that didn't hurt my enjoyment of the anime too much. Plus, it does a good job of making the franchise accessible to new viewers. I showed the anime to my wife, who has never played the games, but has been aware of the franchise through cosplay and other media, and she got hooked. And we have watched it both subbed and dubbed, and it's honestly hard to say which cast I like better. There is also an Outtake/Blooper reel which had us laughing uncontrollably, especially during an ad-lib, but I won't spoil it. I will definitely buy the second half when it comes out, and I am really hoping they will adapt at least Trials & Tribulations just so the trilogy will be complete.

One of my favorite novel games from the DS comes to life in anime. The telling of the episodes is for the most part on point with the actual video game. If they decide to do the whole game series, I’m all for it. Waiting on part two now...

If you've played the games you already know the story. Nothing is changed but told through anime. Even still the anime is still good and the animation is top notch.
