Q: Questionwatching movies 2g vs 4gAcer C720P - 2gb memory vs 4gb memory - is the 2 gb as good, processing/watching movies, as the 4gb.
Asked by sam.
- A:Answer Many people argue that 2gb of memory is not enough for a laptop/netbook, etc. With Windows based devices, there are so many different tasks and processes, and drivers needed to perform very basic functions. With a Chromebook, there is no such demand. With very little onboard storage, and a minimal operating system, there is very little that you can do, to really challenge it's processing ability. Even with multiple tabs, and using a monitor as a second screen, I've noticed very little lag. That would be watching Netflix on one screen via HDMI, and still browsing the web/editing on the other. So, in summary, unless you're really planning to continually press the Chromebook to extreme conditions, the 4gb option just doesn't seem necessary.

Q: QuestionCan this device run MS Word/Office?
Asked by njmarp.
- A:Answer It will not. Chromebooks cannot install programs such as Microsoft Office products. It does, however, come with the Google Docs apps already installed. While these are not the Microsoft product, they are fully compatible. They save all files as ".doc". So, they will open with exactly the same formatting, text wrap, etc. in any Microsoft program. With that, they are pretty much universally compatible.
