Super easy to set up
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are so easy to set up, you don't need any technical experience. Everything to fully set up one connection is included. I have my router/ modem downstairs and was having my wifi connect to my computer, which is upstairs. My connection wasn't great so I was looking up workarounds that didn't involve a pricey involvement from my I$P. Discovered moca and decided to try it out. I immediately saw a vast improvement on my internet connection now that I'm wired instead of wireless... around 8x better and actually at my advertised internet speed. Over a month in and no problems

No More Wi-Fi Issues! ThisMocaAdapterRocks!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No More Wi-Fi Issues! ThisMocaAdapterRocks! This Actiontech Moca Adaptor is amazing! I was fed up with my Wi-Fi issues. Videos buffering on YouTube all time, slow laggy PS4 Fortnite game play and having to reset my router every time I lost my Wi-Fi signal. I didn't want to drill holes in my floors to run an ethernet cable so I researched on YouTube for alternatives. I came across Moca Adapters, Powerline Adapters and WIFI extenders. Moca adapters came out on top in every comparison however Powerline adapters are a good option as well. Moca adapters use your existing and coaxial cable and cable box to connect to the internet. It was easy to setup. It took me about hour. Now I have fast internet with no Wi-Fi issues. My Dell laptop, PS4 and Sony Smart TV are now connected to the internet via ethernet/moca adaptor and coaxial cable. FYI. The Moca Adapter has only one ethernet port. So, if you want to connect multiple devices like me you’ll have to buy an internet switch and ethernet cables for each device. See pictures and please forgive me for the poor cable management. Also, if you have a multiroom DVR setup through your cable tv provider you already have Moca Technology in your cable boxes and router. So, if you’re sick of Wi-Fi issues, pick up a set.

Easy & Efficient
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comes with instructions and extra cables. Easy to install and works perfectly. Used one adapter at the point of entry where the coaxial cable comes in home. Converted spare bedroom into an office and connected 2nd adapter to coaxial cable there. My internet speed has greatly improved. As good as any ethernet connection. Better than the unreliable WiFi I was getting before. Moca works! Outstanding!

Wow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Two days ago I had no idea this existed. My sons room is on second floor, and I was not interested in running a network cable to his room. His PS4 was running on WiFi and just not cutting it. His room has a coax from the basement and thats all. This worked great. Ethernet to this product over coax back to Ethernet. 10 min install. Now I don’t have to run network. Looks like it will not interfere with to signal but we stream tv, so I didn’t try.

Wish I would have known about this!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like many others I don't have ethernet routed throughout my home. New construction 2018, but it does have the coaxial cable tv wired in all rooms. I have this product connected directly to my At&t router downstairs and the other end in my bedroom. 1,000 Mbps service, with google nest as my mesh wifi. With the mesh wifi system I would get anywhere between 150-250mbps, which is adequate for most uses, but to guarantee a stable gaming connection I opted to try this product. The hardwire in my room is to my laptop and consistently get over 900mbps down and over 300 up. I was amazed how well this works and I wish I would have known about it earlier. Attached a screen shot of the Ookla speed test 946!... Absolutely amazing results, highly recommend this product.

Exceeded Expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was prepared, but dreading, to run a cat6 cable from my downstairs router to an upstairs access point. Wasn’t going to be easy. Then I just happened to see the Actiontec Bonded MoCA 2.0 Wired Network adapters in the shelf at Best Buy. This product saved me what I’m sure would have been a ton if aggravation running the cat6 cable. It uses your existing coax cable for transmitting network data. And it works! I was skeptical but decided I would return it if it didn’t work. So I glad I tried it. I have 1gig fiber service. I direct cable connection to my Linksys router gives me 600-700 mbps down and 700-800 up. I get the same speeds with a direct cable connection to my access point using this product. Same with the wireless speeds. I would still use cat6 if I was prewiring due to cost as this little jewel was $150 but if the wiring project is going to be difficult I highly recommend this product. Oh, and I should mention it only took 30 minutes to install it and have the access point connected to my router.

Q: QuestionIf I want to use this do I need to get two or one of these adapters? I do online gaming in my room currently with a NETGEAR AC1200 Wireless adapter, while the modem router is in my living room. So if I want to do a MoCA set up would I need two?
Asked by chypx.
- A:Answer At least 2 - one to put the Ethernet into coax, one to get Ethernet out of coax

Q: QuestionWill Comcast X1 work when using these for a local network in the house?
Asked by Brad.
- A:Answer The X1 platform is basically a cable modem its self and should not interfere with the operation of this device or it mess with the x1 box. This device basicly uses the unused frequency in the coax to transmit data so it should co exist peacefull.

Q: QuestionMy main COAX cable is connected to a splitter. One of the cables from the splitter goes to my modem in the living which is connected to the router and the other cable goes to my bedroom where I want wired connection. Can the signal go thru a splitter?
Asked by CluelessPerson.
- A:Answer Yes, in fact the kit comes with a splitter (they recommend using this over the built-in secondary coax jack for continuing the run to the TV). However, if your splitter is REALLY old, you may find you need to replace it. When I first put internet in the house, the cable team replaced all the old splitters throughout the house, as they weren't passing the full frequency spectrum of the updated system.

Q: QuestionI have connected one device downstairs and one device upstairs and the power light is coming on, but not the coax light. I have tested to make sure they work and when I connect them to each other the coax lights up, but not when I move them apart.
Asked by Helpplease.
- A:Answer Have you checked if the coax in the wall connected it could be damaged. or it could also be a very long run check if there is continuity in the line. Also be sure you have the right cable in the basement the device works best in a single isolated cable to the room from the mains not from Coax outlet to coax outlet.

Q: QuestionI have the router/modem upstairs. The xbox is downstairs. I prefer hardwired instead of wireless. So this MOCA device will be able to be hardwired to my xbox instead of being wireless? I understand I'll need to hook it to the coax.
Asked by Mark.
- A:Answer You will need to hookup the transmitter box to your upstairs coax connection and use the other box for your xbox. If you use the lower coax connection for a TV you need to use the coax splitter (included in the dual MOCA combo set) to split the signal from the MOCA receiver box: one for your xbox and one for TV (if you need it). Follow the directions it's pretty easy to setup. I bought this system so my son could get internet for his computer in the basement. I have my router in the main level of my house. He tells me all latency and issues he had with the wireless connection have disappeared since I hooked up the MOCA system for him. Its a great product!

Q: Questionis there a drop of MBPS speed with 2 or more devices used on these converters?
Asked by UncleKarlie.
- A:Answer Not 100% sure on the meaning of the question. I am guessing that you are asking if simply by putting an ethernet device into one of these that the speed drops? The short answer is "no." One has to think a bit on how this works. All this is doing, with two of these, is creating the equivelant of ONE WIRE from point A to B. My hookup is using 3 of these. One plugs into a cable modem/router. 2nd plugs into a SWITCH (think "router" but slightly different), the third Plugs into a ROUTER. Thus at the SWITCH I can plug in up to 24 different devices. At the 2nd router I can plug in another 4 devices, plus the second router acts like a WiFi hotspot for the media room, which is completely across the house from the main house. Thus, I have effectively about a dozen devices plugged into three of these. If only 1 is active, I am going to get the full cable/modem speed. But of course if two computers are using the internet at the same time, the "speed" for each them HAS TO drop. The total coming from you cable modem is always a total and the devices all share that total. These devices are simply converting your cable wire into an ethernet wire (effectively).

Q: QuestionI have a separate modem and router, what is the recommended spot to put the MoCA adapter and how do I tie them all together? The instructions have a combined modem-router.
Asked by Dutch.
- A:Answer I had same dilemma when purchased mine. Installed MoCA adapter prior to cable modem. I split coax cable line-in with and sent one coax cable to direct to cable modem and the other coax cable direct to MoCA adapter. Connected cable modem via ethernet wire direct to router and connected MoCA adapter direct to router. This configuration has worked excellently for me. I leveraged this to make Tivo network (Tivo Roamio plus two Tivo minis) to seamlessly connect and to enhance streaming on these devices. Working perfectly for me now!
