A: Yes on the 'open/original' start screen .. when you swipe to open - they're gone.

Q: Is it compatible with Google play games
A: It is not "directly" compatible with Google Play games. There is a work around available on the net that isn't too hard to implement as long as you perform the 3 or 4 steps in the right order, although I had to try 2 of the steps at least twice to get the right version. If you have the patience and the basic skills, this isn't a big problem. Everything I have tried has worked fine after applying this solution.
