An Interesting Merge of Literacy and History
With all of the Abraham Lincoln films that have come out recently (the good and the bad), PBS and The American Experience gives their viewers a look into what helped influence the American Civil War. "The Abolitionists" is a historical drama/documentary on everything we learned in school about Frederick Douglass, William Lloyd Garrison, and Harriet Beecher Stowe. Many other names are mentioned and this program is a reminder to all that it is the little things which help with the development of a nation.
