I really do love this little fan. I recently filled up a small for factor Asus desktop with three 7200 rpm drives... I'd installed a case fan, but rather than hope I was pulling enough heat away from the drives, I wanted to ensure that I was pulling in colder air (via the side vent of my case) over the tops of my three drives... I've had these drives in open-air enclosures before, and when you're really using them they get insanely hot.
I'd read complaints that the stock hard drive alone (one of the 7200 rpm Seagates) caused the front plastic in my computer model's front to become eerily hot. At this point, with good airflow over the top coming in and an air route pulling it away just as quickly, the front of the machine is cool to the touch, and my CPU temps have been improved quite a bit. Anyway, this fan was perfect for my project, and it's a slight level of insurance as far as the integrity of the hard drives.
As mentioned in my cons, the bendable neck is not very taught, it wants to sag a bit. Also the entire top doeesn't swivel, only the fan inside a plastic ring... the ring is wide enough to block some substantial air from the fan, but you can also use the fan's outer fixed ring to redirect air into a specific location.
It's not as brightly lit as some LED-laden parts, but on its own it casts a pretty tasteful ambient light depending on where it's aimed.
Personally I prefer gaudy, over done lighting, but I'm kooky that way, but I do have sense enough to respect tasteful, non overbearing parts with lighting in them. It's there, but not overdone by a long shot.
My only complaint is the lack of support the neck has (it has difficulty maintaining even moderately demanding contortions, but you'll figure out the nuance to it pretty quickly), and the swivel head just be just that... the fixed ring is a design error, but it's still a really great fan to have if you have that specific need, As long as it's not touching anything, the fan is very quiet, even when mounted at awkward angles... which reminds me, when you have this fan in your hand, you'll notice that you have a LOT of mounting options that you'd never thought of. Just be sure to design a good air flow pattern and this should really be a great assist. I got this at Best Buy in Hammond, LA... and for 15/16 bucks it's more than worth the money.
On a completely lame "I like lights and blinky things in y computer" level, to which I am a follower, I'd like to add that this thing looks pretty boss when incorporated with other LED/light-up components. I'm the only person who sees my computer besides my wife, so I have no shame when it comes to overdoing it. This is the most understated piece of light in my machine, but it's function outweighs any LED dimness concerns I may have,
Handy part, needs some revisions, looks neat, does exactly what it was made to do.

This is a good buy to cool you mob, ram, videocard, hard drive, or chipset. I have two of these in side my case. But You shouldnt buy this unless you have a side duct. It has 3 modes which are great. Buy if you need the cool but thats if you have a side duct or fan.

I bought this fan for my first PC. Works great for any cooling you can think of. You can use it for your hard drive, PCI/Video card, RAM, or CPU. The 3 speed option was great, it's quiet even on full. Also has these really cool blue LEDs. Only drawback is that it lacks a 3 to 4 pin adapter. Great fan, I reccomend it for any type of cooling.

i got this a few weeks ago to help cool down my northbridge and memory and improve general case air flow. the other reviews around the net were right! it's very easy to set up on one of the motherboard's screws - then bend it into position. you can also rotate the fan and set the speed as needed for noise/airflow ratio. medium speed doesnt make any more noise than the CPU cooler fan when the case is closed. helped cool down the NB and the hard drives. good buy!

Note: it does use a metal bracket, so use COMMON SENSE when mounting so you do not cause a short.
I installed this fan to replace a dead chipset fan. Works great, MB reads the RPM. I did not see an airflow direction arrow, and had it backwards at first. But since it pivots on a flexible rod, I just flipped it and continued on. Easy to pinpoint the flow. If it had a nice insulation coat on bracket, it would be perfect (and one less negative review).
Now my chipset is staying cool, and it has 4 blue led spotlights on it. Looks great in a transparent case.

This card was easy and quick to install (1-2 min), and its very quiet. It lowered my temperature from 40C to around 30ish. So it does its job. If you need a cheap fan I highly suggest this one.

This fan does what it says it will do. It cools sensative parts of your computer such as your RAM bridge. But it has another function which I expected but did not intend.
It has a nasty habit of creating excessive buildup of dust on your ram slots. Cleaning once a month simply is not enough. In my expierence (in a relatively clean house) you will have to clean more often. But if cleaning is not a problem for you, then by all means take get this product.
Only other complaint is that the power connection is not long enough to reach the drive bays of my tower for my Fan Control Unit. But that would be my fault I suppose.

Great product for 20 bucks. my ram was getting to hot with overclocking and this cooled it right down. took about 5 mins to install and been running great for 2 months. my ownly complaint is the blue leds are not very light but that might be because of my cold cathode lights.lol.
