Aww yes. The AOC Q27whatsitnumbered monitor! Lets just jump out first and say this product has exceeded my expectations.
I recently built a computer and was contemplating all sorts of $400+ monitors to play those sweet sweet games and hd videos. Originally thought 1080p but I have a 4k camera that I mainly record in 2k for a balance of high resolution and more fps so I bumped up to a 1440p goal. Out of all the gimmicks and not really necessary "sleek" gaming oreinted looks of others I came across this monitor on sale.
Honestly, I was skeptical about making this purchase but I inevitably dove in. Upon arrival, it was boxed nicely with all the necessary components included. It has a very nice minimalistic appeal to it. The only gripe I have is the glossy finish. It is a dust magnet but otherwise I like the look on my desk.
As far as performance, Im no monitor enthusiast so maybe my opinion will be nill to most but so far I've felt the quality to price ratio (when comparing similar monitors that are quite more expensive) has been great. I've had no light bleeding on edges and the tn panel seems to be better than what people say online. Viewing angles are better than what I read of the tn vartiety but I always sit in front anyway. The 1ms response time seems correct so far and Ive not noticed any latency yet. But I have yet to play any twitch shooters to give a definite response.
Colors seem good, my wallpaper pops nicely, and games have looked nice on it so far. I had to adjust the colors out of box but I really have no complaints there. This is my first better than 1080p resolution experience and its a nice little bump to the overall experience.
Overall, I'd say I'm happy with my purchase. I'm not to picky of a person but I like what I like. Considering I almost threw 600ish dollars on another monitor, Id say the value here is great. Its a great product with good build quality. And at the end of the day thats worth it.
