Ideal for use in your home theater, this APC C20B surge protector features 8 outlets with a 3200-joule rating, coaxial and data line surge protection and isolated filter banks to keep your A/V equipment running smoothly.
Q: What does the plug look like? Is it flat or 90 degrees?
A: Thank you for your inquiry. The C20B has a right angle input plug. Right Angle PlugPlug angle allows for equipment and furniture to be placed closer to the wall than with a standard power cord. Reduces cord stress too.
A: Thank you for your inquiry. The surge energy rating for the C20B is 3200 joules. This rating is for the entire unit and not per individual outlet.
Q: Is this able to be hung on the wall?
A: Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, you may wall mount the C20B. The holes on the back are wall mounting holes.
A: Its heavy duty enough so not only can you use a surge protector, its the second best thing you can do to protect it, not from the power going off, but coming back on, which it usually does with a spike in voltage. When this happens one of three things will go, if they do fail when the surge happens, the compressor itself will fry out, the freezer fans have a tendency to go, and if your fridge has any kind of electronic control board, they can short out too. THE best thing to do to protect anything from being damaged in a power outage/surge, is to leave it unplugged until after power returns.
Q: Is this unit able to be rack mounted? Is there a kit I can buy to rack mount it?
A: Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend that the C20B be installed on a steady, flat surface so there are no rack mount options available unfortunately.
Q: Does this require resetting after a power outage?
A: Thank you for inquiry. No the unit will not need reset after a power outage. Once the power returns the unit will output power.
