Im a little biased when it comes to giant monster movies. I love even the worst of the.... and this is one of the worst. Be warned. If you already like this movie, then it is definitely worth upgrading to 3D. It is one of the best 3D transfers I've ever seen (it helps that it was also originally filmed in 3D). BUT DONT SEE IT JUST FOR THE 3D. Preview it somewhere first or you may be really bored. On the other hand, you may like this if you like "so bad it's good" films. The poor acting and costumes in the opening scene says it all!

a truly dumb, but fun ripoff of King Kong, the movie moves at a brisk but weird pace the transfer and 3D effects are excellent, worth a look, at a lower price?

Maybe I've just been looking in the wrong places, but I've never been able to track down a copy of this infamous film. Somehow I stumbled across it on Best Buy's website, and was really happy to see it was listed at such a low price! The movie isn't good, no, but that's kind of the point. A great "so bad, it's good!" type of film.
