A: The newer iPad Pro has 120hz refresh rate. When using the pencil, this helps with lag. The pencil will appear to write instantaneously. Videos also look much smoother at that rate. The sound is louder. And, I believe tht for the 12.9” thisnis the first time it has a true tone display like the iPad Pro 9.7” and like the new iPhone X. This means it adjusts color on the screen depending on ambient light to give a more natural look to images on screen. And, yes, the 2nd gen is much faster.
