Crystal Clear screen, performs like a champ
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screen's 5K display looks incredible compared to my old Mac. Makes text crisp and clear to improve legibility. I'm a graphic designer, and I also do video work. It handles photoshop easily as well as the rest of the adobe suite. It can render video in real time, which is a huge time saver and convenient. Adding RAM is a breeze, just like older models, simply open a easy access compartment and slip in the additional slots. The fusion drive is also super convenient for quicker access to important features. One of my favorite features is the complete silence. I'm coming from a Mac with a loud fan when rendering video. Which sometimes had to be done while I sleep and kept me up. This machine is 100% silent. You can't even tell if it's off or on once the display sleeps. Great machine. Doesn't look much different from previous mac's on the outside, but has had a complete overhaul in the innards.

I Struck Gold
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my Apple - 27" iMac® - Intel Core i5 (3.4GHz) - 8GB Memory - 1TB Fusion Drive in silver about a month ago and I have never been happier. I hesitated to get an 8GB machine knowing that I would be using it for video editing and projects that involve Final Cut Pro and Photoshop. However, I watched a vid on YouTube as to how easy it was to add additional RAM, yourself, and even save money in the process- that completely sealed the deal for me. I needed a machine with power and a big monitor as I have several projects going on simultaneously. And with the integration of iCloud, I'm never without my projects. I take my MacBook Pro along with me and I'm able to access my files anywhere. This iMac has served all of my purposes, wants and needs and then some. If you are on the fence about the Apple - 27" iMac® - let me assure you that it's a great value.

Go for it, you know you want it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Kept looking and looking, hesitatant to pull the trigger on this purchase for awhile. I have everything else Apple and this was last (so far) item I wanted to complete the set! I have a MacBook Pro which I love, but wanted something bigger for my home office. Finally did it and am absolutely loving it! The 27" screen makes things so much easer. I can load three programs on the screen and use them all - copy and paste, drag and drop or just use references for my work piece. The screen is so clear you don't get the red eye when working for several hours. I will do a review of the MagicTrackpad separately but strongly suggest getting it to use with this set up. The screen is huge so it takes forever to use a mouse to maneuver around! I use these for general home projects: bills, research, email, writing and streaming.

What better than 5K
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What else can I say, the 5K display on this is gorgeous. The computer is fast and so far works great with just about every photo editing program I use. The keyboard does take a little getting used to but I've compare it and it is a normal sized keyboard minus the numeric portion. The speakers on this thing do not disappoint at all and the setup is super simple as 123. The front camera is not as great as I thought it would be but I guess thats something apple just won't change so for that I give it 4 stars. So far everything has been working like a charm so I don't really have anything negative besides the keyboard that does take some getting used to.

Great computer for any Mac lover!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Mac in college but in an unfortunate event of leaving it in the car on a hot summer day in Florida, it reached its end much too soon. I waited years to purchase a new computer but we finally broke down and decided to go for the Mac desktop. I love it!! The clarity is amazing, it has tons of helpful tips, and its so easy to use! The speed is also amazing. I think I will always miss my old Mac laptop, i mean, you never forget your first love but this Mac Desktop is a match in computer heaven.

Mac's are workhorses
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 2008 iMac and wanted to upgrade for faster speeds. I'm retired from commercial printing, but I still do a lot of graphic design work for friends and family. I use Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat and on my new iMac the processing speed is unbelievable. I now use the two of them together to create some beautiful work.

New iMac User
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Never thought I’d be a house full of apple products. The iMac works flawlessly coming. I’m coming from a HP laptop, and the iMac is not only fast, it’s simplicity amazing especially how it connects with my iPhone. Even down to the Magic Mouse. I’m speechless but I can only ask mussels, why didn’t I try an iMac out earlier in life?

Q: Questioncan you upgrage the RAM to 16G?
Asked by Annie.
- A:Answer Yes go to Crucial.com and select your iMac model and it will help you select memory upgrade. The unit I purchase came with 8gigs of ram using 2 slots. The iMac 27" 2017 model has 4 slots. I added (2) 8 gig DDR4 2400 sticks of ram which gave me 24 total gigs of ram. This should be plenty unless you are using video editing software and ripping files. Good luck the upgrade is easy. There are many video's on how to install memory on iMac. Just do a google search on how to upgrade memory for iMac 27" model 2017.

Q: QuestionIf I currently have a Gateway computer, will I be able to transfer my Word, Excel files from my pc over to the Office 365 for Mac without any issues? In otherwords, will my documents basically look the same without any garbling (in most cases)?
Asked by TEXCYN.
- A:Answer Yes. If you are using Office 365 then those files are probably stored on your OneDrive. All you have to do is download the Office 365 Mac Apps (usually free with an Office sub) and they will be synced.

Q: QuestionI have always wanted a IMAC but financially it's a little out of reach. I would like to know the difference between it and a PC. What are some of the things I will notice first? Thanks!
Asked by nthpokt.
- A:Answer The primary difference will be that most viruses are created for PC computers. Secondly, the PC operating systems are taking on more MAC features, however, MACs are best for graphic applications, and PCs are business computers. The MAC can be used in dual purposes, it has the ability to read/use PC applications, as well as MAC applications. It too is very user-friendly, and rarely crash. I purchased a MacBook in 2008, heavily used till 2017, it crashed once, and that was in 2016.
