The all-new thinner and lighter design makes iPad 2 even more comfortable to hold. It's even more powerful with the dual-core A5 chip, yet has the same 10 hours of battery life. With two cameras, you can make FaceTime video calls, record HD video and put a twist on your snapshots in Photo Booth. And the iPad Smart Cover attaches magnetically and wakes up, stands up and brightens up your iPad 2.
Customers love the ease of use, citing its intuitive functionality and convenience for tasks like checking emails and browsing the internet. The camera quality, particularly the video, also receives high praise, along with the excellent battery life and impressive screen size and quality. Many appreciate the device's compact size and portability.

Best Tablet Out There

I am an avid blackberry user so moving to an Apple device was a bit of a step for me; however, I am glad I made the switch. Apple's tablets are so easy to use and have so many apps for them it is a selling point on its own, not to mention it is incredibly fast. An example of this is the multitasking; I had over 40 apps running at once since I wasn't sure initially how to close them and there was absolutely no slowdown. The dual camera's are great for keeping in touch with family just don't expect any professional videos or pictures. The size and weight are incredibly small and compact while still feeling sturdy and well built. The battery life and screen are amazing and this tablet is truly a travel companion for those who are on the road for long periods of time. I recommend this tablet for people who want to get the maximum amount of portability and accessibility out of the iPad 2 since having the ability to turn the 3G on/off is a great option. This device is a winner!

I just love my iPad. The iPad 2 is actually my favorite choice because the battery life is excellent, it charges very quickly and is very fast. I had a 3rd generation iPad and although the retina display looks great with nice color saturation it felt much heavier in my hand and did not have great battery life. It also got very hot with ongoing use and took a long time to fully charge. Hopefully with future updates the new iPad will improve where it's lacking and the iPad 2 will continue to make people like me very happy.
I was lucky enough to pick up my new iPad 2 3G at my local best buy. If you are looking for a great case check out the Targus Basic iPad case, it specifies for use with the 3 generation iPad, but also fits the iPad 2 perfectly, my favorite folio case ever!!

I thought when I bought the iPad my kids would use it for games, watching movies or TV...I have started using it so much more. I have all my calendars in one place, my email is easier to use, I love I messaging, I cannot tell enough people to go buy one... No one else compares.
I wish it had the clock that was on my iTouch then the iPad choices. This tablet is expensive, and I wish apple had more of their own apps already loaded and didn't make me pay $30 to buy the iWork suite, nickel and dimming is a bit annoying.
One moth later, my kids are having a tough time getting to use the iPad because I have replaced my day planner, andi am working on my address books, and recipe box and more.
ICloud really is wonderful! Auto correct is a pain...

Cameras were a disappointment

The iPad2 is my my first iPad and replaces my iPod Touch. I was waiting for the dual cameras which take absolutely horrible, grainy pictures. I know this device was not meant to obsolete a real digital camera, but at least make the resolution comparable to Apple's current technology!! The web cam is adequate.
I still love the device for the main reason I bought it: web browsing on the go, superior gaming, music and movies, etc. The lack of an SD port is a bit of a pain.
When you add in the smart cover and kid-proof replacement protection, this thing was overpriced. I'm banking on finding more uses to make my satisfaction level improve.

I have the 1st gen iPad as well so it was good to compare the two as shown below:
Pros:
-User interface - it is very slick and everything is integrated seamlessly
-# of Apps compared to Android market - it is very true that "there's an app for that"...
- Additional processing capabilities enable apps, movies and photos to respond more quickly and with more clarity
- I swear my wi-fi connectivity with the new iPad is better than the old (11mbps using the speed test app vs 8 mbps on the 1st gen)
- Camera (although quality is less than optimal) having the ability to use face time and take videos is cool
- Verizon 3g - I am not a big fan of AT&T so having a verizon 3g is a plus
- HD adapter - no need for apple tv when I can hook up the HD adapter and "mirror" what is on my iPad on my HDTV (movies, apps, photos, etc.)
Cons:
- I hate that Apple does not support adobe flash. Not a knock per se against the iPad as it is Apple policy but those non-apple people always bring this point up
- Camera quality - (see above) – c’mon guys let’s get a better quality camera here
- No input slots for additional memory or usb - this is something that should be standard although Home Sharing now mitigates this somewhat
All told I am glad I made the purchase. If you are in the market for a tablet computer or even if you have an iPad 1, you cannot go wrong with the iPad 2. I would encourage you to go the extra mile for 3g as it is worth it. Anyway, hope this helps and happy “iPadding”.
PS if you want to be really cool get an HP printer that is capable of Airprint to print directly from the iPad (as I have suggested below).

It took me a long time to decide whether I should splurge and buy an iPad. I mean I was told that I wouldn't be able to watch videos on some websites that I go to and that I wouldn't be able to access docs for class. But I am here to tell you that there are ways behind those issues and this iPad has been essential for me in class. I can write and type my notes. Record lectures inside my notes with notability. Look at documents Nd power points easily. And I hear that I can also access google docs smoothly on this thing for group work. I've now discarded the notion that the iPad is not essential for students like past critics have mentioned. I believe this is way better than carting around a Laptop that requires you to hook it up continuously throughout the day because from the moment I wake up for class at 7 to 12 midnight, I haven't needed to charge it at all. I say everyone should just go for it if you have the money to buy one no matter what people are saying. And buy with 3G if you travel like I do as a student. It is very handy when you can't find a hotspot.

Great new thinner style and white Color. It has a nice feel to it. I love the two camera's and video. FaceTime is awesome. The pad just lacks a built-in alarm clock and a built- in calculator. Love being able to watch CNN live on it. Cool App Line 2 works great on it also.
