I researched this device quite a bit. The IPad Pro was the clear winner in terms of computing power but its price was prohibitive. The IPad Air is the right balance for a casual user. I did consider the base IPad but elected to go with the better display and faster chip of the IPad Air. For the modest bump in price over the base unit you get so much more. The IPad Air also has plenty of storage. If cost is not a driver, go with the 256gb version. Love the machine!
This is the 3rd IPad I have owned and I have never had any problems with any of them. The first 2 eventually were handed down to family members that still use them. I like the larger screen and use it a lot for work....thus the cellular connection is priceless.
This iPad Air 3rd gen is my 3rd iPad, and the best yet. Light, thin, larger display than my iPad Air 2, faster. It is a great tablet, and, if money is not too big an issue, I recommend it highly; I've used Kindle and other Android-based tablets. I really like how it integrates with my other Apple devices.
iPad is a convenient device to use when I want to move around my house and stay connected to what I’m working on. The screen size is sufficient for browsing, reading e-mail, and watching videos. I plan to take it when I travel too. WiFi connection was easy to set up. I’m looking forward to using cellular service.
The one drawback I see with iOS is that the virtual keyboard could be more expansive. I would like a keyboard that has numbers and letters to avoid switching back and forth.
