Q: Of 128 GB of memory how much does Apple keep for their own apps.?
A: If I'm not mistaken, I do believe out of 128, you have access to 110, but that's with iMovie, GarageBand and the other preinstalled apple apps. IM sure you can delete them and gain that extra 3GB+ of memory back or Apple users may be starting to experience bloatware as well
A: To get the $50 card, it shouldn't matter how you purchase the phone. We got our gift cards by e-mail the same day we activated our phones. They don't give the gift cards in the stores themselves.
Q: Is BestBuy taking in old iPhone 5 as Apple stores are?
A: Yes! I got a really good trade-in value for my phone. You can trade your old phone for store credit at BestBuy, which IMO gives you a lot more options towards future purchases. They will even price match just about anything you can purchase from the Apple store.
A: My personal preference is Speck, Otter Box or Life Proof if I'm going anywhere near water.
Q: Can I unlock the iphone 6 in Brazil?
A: Yes it can be unlocked. If you are in the USA and going to Brazil, go to your service provider (AT&T, or Verizon etc.) and/or call Apple. After you explain that you will be using the iPhone in Brazil for an extended period, they wil unlock the phone. (the period should be for more than 60 days, or for several 2-months period in the coming year or two). If you are not in the USA, but already in Brazil, you just go to on local market to buy a replacement SIM card. Take out the one that was in the iPhone when you bought it and insert the new SIM card; you'll then "charge" the new SIM card for a set amount of minutes, or local currency, and re-charge each time you've used the set amount you selected.
Q: Trade in
A: Should be able to do that - that's very similar to what I did. I went from a 4S 16gb to a 6 64gb. I paid $300 for the 6 64gb and traded in my 4S to get a $125 credit that lowered the $300 to $175. Good luck!
