A: Well...It has its own number but you use number sync to sync it with your phone’s number. When you get a call on your phone’s number, both your watch and phone ring...answer it on either device.
Q: Can the bands be switched out on any of the watches or only certain ones

Q: Is the cellular just as good as using a phone coverage wise???
A: I haven’t had any troubles yet making or receiving calls via my iwatch. In fact in certain places i have seemingly had better reception. I cannot explain that but it does work great.
A: You do Not have to have a Cellular plan with it. The same way if you have cellphone and just use Wi-Fi and don't have a Cellular plan.
A: Your provider may offer an add on to your plan. We have Verizon and it is $10 a month to this plan. Verizon adds the watch number to your cell number and links them together so you use your cell phone number
