A: This depends what you are doing on your laptop. If you just leave it on 24/7 mine won't die for a few days. If I do an hour or two of homework using the internet and Microsoft every day I could get away with 2-4 days without charging it. If you are going to game or watch Netflix it is going to die much faster maybe 17 hours if you watched Netflix straight.
A: This laptop comes with a 30 day trial of Microsoft office and has incentives to purchase Office 365. Check with your school, they may offer students Microsoft Office 365 - you may not have to purchase it if they provide it for you.
