Great Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works very well for the price. I can stream games well with it on my HD60 S right from my PS4 through OBS. I haven’t played any games directly from the Laptop but I recommend upgrading the ram if you plan on streaming and playing on the laptop it’s self. Also get a cooling fan to help keep your device from putting off to much heat when playing at high frame rates (helps your computer last longer). Laptop only comes with 3 USB ports. If want more USB ports to plug up devices find a Type-C Hub. I found a 4 port Type-C HUB 2.0 usb at “5 Below” to plug up my low power cooling fan and mouse. Computer can not take CDs or Micro SDs. You have to plug your device in to transfer files or use cloud software. Overall a great computer for all your content creation needs!

Awesome Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an awesome laptop! Great for future upgrades too, you can upgrade the RAM to 32GB and there is 3 m.2 SSD slots. Kinda crazy! The display is great, bright, typing is pretty awesome with the keyboard. Performance wise, I don't game too much, and this laptop hasn't stuttered at all. My one complaint is the speaker - just wish it was louder. Other than that, it doesn't have a webcam (not a big deal for me, since laptop ones suck anyways).

Wonderful Gaming Laptop!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This isn't a heavy-duty gaming laptop. Get that in your head from the start, but it is WELL worth every penny spent. This is a low-priced option for what it is. I have had really no issues at all with it. It's fast, handles games very well, keeps itself cool easily, and looks great doing it! A few small details you should know going in, if you are picky about details: The keyboard is RGB and highly customizeable, but it's ONE-zone. I did buy this under the assumption it was per-key thanks to the Asus site making it sound that way. It was the one and only disappointment in this, and it's such a minor detail, considering the bottom strip has 5 zones to customize with the keyboard(one for each side, two for the front side, and one for each corner). Another thing to note that's worth mentioning is that the mousepad is a little flighty. I am happy to get used to it, and it only took me a couple days to do so, but if you don't always use a separate mouse, you might want to turn down sensitivity on this one if you're not as good at adjusting. I bought this laptop under the assumption that there was no camera and no mic. However, while there IS no camera, there IS actually a mic. It's not great, but it works well enough. And finally, though I knew this going in, I see a lot of people asking if this has the numpad on the mouse pad. No. It doesn't. There is no numpad on this laptop. If that's a deal-breaker for you, I would still suggest other ROG computers.

Great for beginning PC gamers
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always been a console player my entire life, so I wanted to see what PC gaming is like. A lot of people told me to build a rig if I wanted the best experience of PC gaming, but I didn’t want to go all in just for it to collect dust, so i wanted to test the waters and went lower so I settled for a gaming laptop. I heard Asus was a pretty good brand, so it was a no brainer. I’m very very new to PC gaming I think the specs is in the intermediate range, it runs good, it plays games like GTA V, Sleeping Dogs, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake and etc. it has the ability to run modern games. Graphically though it runs good maybe on medium high setting but if you want ultra settings with every detail, this laptop is not the way to go. But even though Resident Evil 2 Remake ran better and smoother than both consoles versions just using the “recommended” settings You want to stream, it does not have a camera/webcam, some games can run but it looks sluggish at times for example trying to stream while playing GTAV. But if you just want to play games on PC, this laptop does the job perfectly. I would highly recommend it for any beginners for PC gaming.

Q: QuestionWhat's the percentage of sRGB of this laptop? Is it good for photoshop, video editing? Thank You.
Asked by Arian.
- A:Answer I don't know about the sRGB, but I have used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, and I'm about to get myself a Wacom Intuous Drawing Pad so I can draw digitally. It works fine. I have not edited videos, but it should work fine unless you are doing big movies and really high quality videos (at this point you should consider a laptop with higher RAM like 32 GB or lower 16 GB, higher graphics card like the RTX 2080 super or lower GTX 1660, and Intel core i-7 is fine). One thing to consider is upgrading to 16gb RAM or more if you absolutely need to. I already ordered another 8gb RAM to upgrade my ram storage since I play games and use those editing software.

Q: QuestionIs this a 2019 or 2020 model?
Asked by ecuartasm.
- A:Answer It is a 2020 model, first revealed in April of 2020 as a limited edition.

Q: QuestionWhat's the max hard drive space?
Asked by Robert.
- A:Answer The laptop comes with 512GB SSD, but there are two extra PCIe m.2 spaces - meaning you can potentially upgrade to 8TB of storage (4TB NVMe). Those 4TB drives are very expensive... but 1TB NVMe are about $100 or less for no-name brands.

Q: Questionis there a backpack included when purchased like other asus laptops?if so what peripherals or thing are included
Asked by Julian.
- A:Answer This laptop is part of the Asus limited edition "Electro Punk" series and has matching peripherals and accessories, including a backpack. However, the laptop is stand alone and does not come with any of the Electro Punk peripherals/accessories. As of this writing, the back pack is not available in the US yet but I have included a picture in this response to show you what is available (Electro Punk mouse, keyboard, headset, mousepad).

Q: QuestionI was wondering, when upgrading the RAM, do you need to buy 2 sticks and replace the pre-installed one, or is it ok to just buy a singular stick and add it?
Asked by Jacko.
- A:Answer You can just buy 1. There is already 1 8GB RAM in there. Normally, you'd want them to match, if you install more than 8GB of RAM on the 2nd, you only get dual channel on 8GB RAM.

Q: QuestionWould it be better to buy this model of the g15 or the $1299 model? Are the fans on this model covered by plastic to reduce keyboard temperature?
Asked by Kim.
- A:Answer I wish this laptop was cooler, but I’m not going to return mine; I’m satisfied with my 16gb RAM for now and maybe 4 years later I will get a newer laptop/computer. Looking at laptops that cost around $1000 to $1299 do have better hardware to consider. I would recommend going that extra $300 to get a higher graphics card, more ram storage (that may be able to max at 32gb if you install more ram), sometimes an i9 processor is a cool thing to have but an i7 works just as well for today’s technology, and finally, the SSD hard drive space can be 1TB (and more if you install it yourself) in those more expensive laptops. Otherwise, if you’re like me who just doesn’t mind it being good enough and it is only temporary for a few years (my years in college), then you can simply upgrade to 16gb ram and save $270 by buying the ram for $30. The fans are placed on both back corners of the laptop so it never overheats, but sometimes playing for a long while can be a little warmish hot to the touch but I have never been burned and the keyboard does seem warm but not hot. That only happens when I play games, but since I upgraded the ram, it may not be so hot as it used to be.
