It's a great laptop, you can easily play most modern AAA games on it in high or ultra settings at 1080p, not sure about 4K though. Screen, keyboard, speed, cooling, all great, it's keeps a cool 35-45 degrees while surfing and every day stuff, while it keeps a stable 70-75 degrees while playing demanding games, build quality seems good, this is not my first Asus and I love the NON-gamer looks, with just a few accents that make it stand out. Cons: The reasons that I actually gave it only 3 stars are two, the first one is minor, the finish, it's such a fingerprint magnet, it picks up on any tiny amount of anything on your fingers, so unless you've washed your hands properly and dried them well before using it, expect greasy smudges everywhere, and I'm not a sweaty hands person. The second, and this is something to watch out for and a very serious issue, apparently you can't turn off power to the USB C ports, so even if you completely turn off the laptop, anything you may have connected to those (keyboards, hubs, powered speakers, RGB monitor stands, etc..) will remain powered unless you unplug the USB C cables or unplug it from the power adaptor. So now I'm left with a laptop that I have to unplug every peripheral every time I power it down, the devs apparently didn't deem this of any importance and yes, YES, I have looked everywhere online, all the forums, all the options, there's no BIOS option or any other power control for USBs from Windows or Asus.

I have been meaning to get a budget gaming laptop for awhile, but I would back out when I see the high price tags. This one I picked with a 400$ black Friday sale and has been cherishing every day! Build is strong and elegant, performance is top notch and smooth with Rtx 4070. 16 GB ram and i7 also provides smooth experience for work and streaming. Would highly recommend especially with a deal!

I use this laptop mainly for school. I run SolidWorks and AutoCAD and even Inventor. Runs great! The battery goes pretty quickly when using those heavy softwares, but I'm okay with that since it stays on my desk anyway. It also plays games very well! I played Elite Dangerous: Odyssey and No Man's Sky. I do use an Asus monitor for larger viewing when using the softwares and playing games. But this screen would be big enough for playing games. It's tough, durable and has been worked like a mule since I purchased it. Still runs flawlessly and super fast.
