Introducing the ATH-M50xBT2, the second generation of our critically acclaimed M-Series wireless over-ear headphones, featuring a number of enhancements to improve performance and usability. But don’t worry – we’ve changed nothing about the critically acclaimed sonic signature. The M50xBT2 delivers the same exhilarating wireless listening experience as its predecessor, offering exceptional clarity and deep, accurate bass response. There’s even the option to adjust the headphone’s EQ settings, if you so choose – make the changes in the A-T Connect app and save directly to the headphones. In addition, we have greatly improved vocal pickup, incorporating beamforming microphone technology for clearer phone calls and communication with the built-in Amazon Alexa voice assistant. We’ve also added multipoint pairing to let you connect wirelessly to two devices at once. An updated USB-C connection, a low latency mode, and compatibility with high-quality audio codecs round out the enhancements. When Audio-Technica brought the legendary ATH-M50x studio sound into the world of personal wireless audio, we created what are, simply, the best-sounding wireless headphones on the market. But we weren’t content to stop there.

These are fantastic headphones. Excellent sound quality and detail with decent base. These are the kind of headphones that make you realize how important studio engineers are to an album. I use these wireless for my phone music and wired on my computer and guitar amp. No noise cancellation but the ear cups isolate very well. Very comfortable for long stretches even with my eye glasses. Build quality is good though definitely not high end. Mostly plastics. If you subscribe to a hifi music plan these are a great choice.

These sound great and the Bluetooth works well. Its hard to find premium headphones that are not noise canceling. The ANC headphones make me sick and nauseous. Although they don't block out noise as good as a ANC pair they still block out a good amount of noise.

Primarily I listen to classical music, opera, jazz and popular performers who know how to sing and not scream. I find that these headphones offer a realistic rendering of those genres. I am not interested in engineered "blastississimo" booming base and other loud and fake sounding electronic instruments, nor was I interested in noise cancelling headphones as I only use these in my home where there is not much interference noise, and what little there is, these headphones do a good job of filtering it out. I also appreciate that these headphones can be used wired and with Bluetooth. Bluetooth pairing is excellent. I have an Audio-Technica turntable with Bluetooth which was difficult to pair with my wife's earbuds. No problem here, except that I have to turn off my cell phone Bluetooth before hand. Pairing with my Amazon Echo Dot is also easy. I charged them on Christmas Day and the downloaded app shows that they are in the high charge range on January 3. Manual states that the charge is good for 50 hours. This is in contrast to some of the other headphones that were Bluetooth noise cancelling only, which I assume requires more power and shortens the battery's effective usage time. All in all I recommend these headphones. They are a great value, the sound quality is excellent, they pair easily and they are very versatile.
