Audio-Technica - QuietPoint Earbud Headphones - White

I bought these to wear under my full face helmet when riding my motorcycle with the hope of being able to hear the music without blasting out my ear drums in the process. I ride a loud, proud and powerful American made motorcycle. After changing the ear bud rubber plug size to fit my ears, there are 3 different sizes included, the ear buds slipped into my ears very comfortably. The noise level was significantly reduced even before turning on the noise cancellation. I then plugged in my Cheapo Brand MP3 player and the first thing I noticed was the incredible sound quality. Especially the full rich bass. I almost forgot I wearing ear buds. Once I turned on the noise cancelling, I was able to turn down the volume of the music and still hear it crystal clear. On the road test I was impressed with the noise cancellation. At 50 MPH with my exhaust pipes rumbling like thunder and the wind blowing past my ears (I was wearing a tiny skid lid that did not cover my ears and not the full face helmet as I wanted a worse case environment to test these in) I was still able to hear the music with a significantly reduced ambient noise level at about half the volume level as normal (level 15 instead of 30). The ambient noise sounded like I was hearing a similar motorcyle to mine off in the distance. As for the wind noise, it was greatly reduced as well. The one down side, if you want to even call it that, is the belt clip for the on/off switch and battery housing. Even though the clip mechanism has a tooth like grip on the end and is long enough to easily slip over your belt, the actual grip pressure is weak. It will not fall off in normal use, but in my case riding in the wind at freeway speeds, I worry it might pop off my belt. Even if it does, I run the line under my shirt up to my ears and it isn't heavy enough to pull the ear buds out of my ear. Overall I did not expect the quality of sound and ambient noise reduction that was acheived. I was very surprised and impressed. These are also very comfortable, when the right size plugs are used. These are worth every penny paid, even if I would of paid the listed retail price.

I always would get a serious head ache after mowing my lawn. I bought these ear buds and they work great. No more pounding headaches.
