Easily add an aftermarket amplifier or subwoofer to your vehicle’s factory audio system with this 2-Channel Active Line Output Converter with AccuBASS by AudioControl. The LC2i converts speaker-level (high-level) audio signals to RCA preamp (low-level) signals so you can install an aftermarket amplifier or subwoofer without replacing your factory radio. This two-channel line output converter also features AccuBASS technology so you can turn up the volume without losing bass.

  • Compatible with most vehicles’ OEM audio systems: For use when adding aftermarket amplifiers to car audio systems without RCA preamp outputs.
  • 2-channel interface with dual amplifier preamp outputs: Features one set of active speaker-level inputs, one set of full range main line-level outputs, and one set of low-passed (1000 Hz) bass line-level outputs for adding an aftermarket subwoofer.
  • 400W (40V) peak power input per channel @ 20k ohms: For high-quality sound.
  • 9.5V RMS (13V peak) maximum output voltage @ 14.4V: For efficient operation.
  • AccuBASS processing: Recovers bass frequencies lost at higher volumes.
  • Turn-on trigger mode switch: Choose between GTO Signal Sense (DC offset) to automatically power the line output converter or remote 12V input for manual control.
  • Dual variable stereo gain controls with clipping indicator: Allows you to adjust main and bass output signals from -12dB to +12dB and indicates when levels are optimal.
  • Selectable ground isolation: Choose from common, ISO (default), or 200 ohms.
  • Slim chassis with integrated mounting brackets: Enables quick and easy installation.
  • Optional dash remote: Allows you to add a subwoofer with independent level control (ACR-1 sold separately).
  • 5-year warranty: To protect against defects in materials and workmanship.

Q: What type of inputs does the AudioControl converter have?

A: It has screw-type speaker-level inputs and RCA audio outputs for flexible system integration.

Q: What is the frequency response of this AudioControl converter?

A: This converter has a frequency response of 10Hz - 100kHz.

Q: Can I use this AudioControl converter with my factory car radio?

A: Yes, this converter is designed for use with most vehicles that have factory-installed audio systems.

Q: Does this AudioControl converter have a built-in subwoofer control?

A: Yes, this converter has a built-in subwoofer control for adjusting bass levels.

Q: How much peak power input can this AudioControl converter handle per channel?

A: This converter can handle 400W (40V) peak power input per channel at 20k ohms.

Q: Can I hook up 2 amps with the LCi2 to a 2018 Hyundai Sonata Se with the factory HU? One for the sub in my trunk and one to the after market door speakers. I think I read that you can but lose fader controls?. I just purchased it from BB ready to install.

A: Yes. You can run rca cables for “main” output and for “bass” output. Mains would be to the amp you use for your door speakers and bass is obviously to the amp for your sub. Fade loss depends on how you hook up the wire inputs on the lc2i unit.

Q: can this be used with aftermarket stereo

A: Sure, but it was designed more for factory installed systems that force audio signal processing. This removes that processed audio signal and sends a cleaned signal to your amplifier. In my case, i have a bose system in my srx and added an aftermarket subwoofer/amplifier. Whenever i would turn the volume up the bass would decrease drastically. This was intentional by bose to prevent users from blowing the factory subwoofer which also carried over to my aftermarket amp/sub. The LC2i solved this problem by eliminating the reduced bass processing and sending my amp a clean signal. Might be overkill for aftermarket stereos since you most likely will not be needing this feature and just using it as a DLC

Q: Do you have to hook It up to both rear door speakers or can you just go off one of the door speakers?? When setting the gains on the loc2i do you have to keep the speaker plug in or out?? I watched five star car Audio they do it without the speaker plug I

A: If you are using this just for subs then yes you can hook it up to just one speaker but if you are using a full range amp and full range speakers then you will want to hook it to both so you have stereo and left right separation. Yes unplug the speakers so there is no unnecessary stress on your speakers. It has a clip light on it
