Battlefield 4 - PlayStation 3

In my opinion this as good as a FPS gets. Wide range of guns, huge maps and total destruction everywhere you go! I would highly recommend picking this up.

As a Call of Duty try hard (2.0+ K:D, 3.55+ Win/Loss) , I picked this game up to give it a try. Unlike the CoD franchise, you have to play through the story mode at least once to unlock the multiplayer weapons so I did just that. Less than 2 hours of familiarizing myself with the game, I got to a campaign checkpoint with a helicopter that completely froze the game. It turned the screen black and never loaded the graphics again (only the sound loaded). Resetting the game did not help -- I had to play the ENTIRE mission from the start just to die at the helicopter checkpoint...again. After restarting again, I finally got through it, but it really turned me off from the game. I really do like playing as a tank and a jet fighter from time to time, but I think I'll stick to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

First, the single player campaign is not great and I would just skip it. I really regret playing it. Second, the multiplayer is awesome. While I like CoD for what it does well, BF4 has so much more depth and skill. The vehicles and squad team work is what really set this apart. Just watch the trailer for Paracel Storm. There is also a sandbox test range so you can test out all the equipment, most importantly the vehicles- the helicopter takes more skill than anything CoD will ever have. As of Jan 2016, the player count is still going strong on PS3- get it!

I bought the PS3 version so I could play it before the PS4 came out, then for 10 bucks was able to download a digital copy to my new PS4. The only drawback is that I have to put the PS3 disk into the PS4 in order for the game to play. I have been a big COD fan for the last few years, maxing out with the prestiges, etc. Battlefield3 was my son's favorite but I never really got into it. This new game (BF4) is just amazing - the graphics are good on the PS3 and GREAT on the PS4. I'll probably continue to buy the annual COD release, but I will DEFINITELY be getting the next Battlefied installment. I'm hooked!

I waited to purchase this game because when it first came out it was $60.00 and I feel that it is ridiculous to pay that price. and low and behold I bought 2 of them for me and a friend at $10.00 each. What a deal for a PS3 game that is fairly new. The game play is as usual very good the only issue that I have is that you have to watch all the in game video clips that you cannot get past. Great game to own and play and since I only play stand alone it is longer than I expected which is great. Just as good as Call Of Duty.

the game is great its well balanced for weapon class and has many different options and has something to counter another. the story mode is short but very fun. the down side to it from the release is the net code and the rubber banding and lag in the serves and a lot of server crashes but dice is fixing that for next gen. i really think you should get this game but upgrade to the ps4/xbox1 version when you can

After playing COD for years and it being one of my all time favorite and best first-person shooter games, it seems now after the release of COD Ghosts, they suck now. As I am not able to afford a great gaming PC, my friend recommended for consoles that I get this game, BF4. I tried it and it appears to me that this game has way more features that I've been missing out on from years of playing COD. Now that the good old Call of Duty days are over, there's always something that will be able to replace it, BF4.

If I am not mistaken, this came with a nice bonus - free PS4 copy. Well packaged. Decent game, although I feel the game glitches somewhat occasionally.
