Q: Is this Books go color 7? Specifically is it black and white or color e reader?
A: Hi, the model you are asking about has a black and white display (only). The GO 7 (gen II) is the model with a color display. It is a little confusing because the pervious Go 7 series were only color display.

I've had this Boox for around a week now and like it more and more. It took some time to get acquainted with it. Since it runs Android, I am familiar with the basics. I have included some photos to show what screens I needed to access to get the best reader experience. The first photo just shows the screen, after I have set it up the way I want to. The second photo shows a mini screen that you can get my swiping up from the bottom and then touching the three horizontal lines. This gives you your page-turning experience and the refresh and layout. If you play with it the page-turning can change quite dramatically. It will give you sort of strange page turns and different refresh rates. It is something to experiment with. If you swipe down from the right corner towards the left corner, you will get the Control Center. It is here that you can choose numerous settings and lighting. It also lets you connect to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth if you want. The next photo screen comes about by tapping the middle of the screen and then selecting the Aa on the top right. It allows you to change the text and the lighting. If you play around with these boxes while you are in your story, you can accomplish most of the set up that you will want to do with the books you read. It took me awhile to become comfortable with it, but now I really like the reading experience. Initially I set up Google Play and Google Books. Everything was loaded with no problem. I then went to my Barnes and Noble account and set it up. Again, no problem. My Kindle account is in my wife’s name, and I was expecting issue loading it onto the Boox. But it also loaded up immediately. The main issue I had was a verification process that you have to go through. It would not work. After failing 6 or 7 times I was ready to send the entire thing back when suddenly it worked. This seems to be an issue with this device as it turns out that there is a help section about it. I only saw it after the fact. If I had not had this issue I would have given it five stars.

The battery life is exceptional I fully charged it once when I got it a month ago, and it's still above 70% charge. The only issue I had is the Google Play Store not opening on the tablet. I had to use the browser.
