      An Unexpected Blast

Over the years, Naruto has been ripped on quite a bit. From it's many filler episodes, to drawing out fights that could have ended much more quickly (much like DBZ's infamous Frieza battle), people have had no shortage of strong opinions towards the franchise. This, however, is the culmination of the entire previous series as well as an introduction to the new one. Continuing years after Shippuden ends, almost every character has started a family. Most of their children are the same ages (what are the chances!) and are taking on the Chunin exams. The movie starts a bit slow, setting everything up and giving you a feel for the new Konoha. Even the slower parts, though, are all very interesting and heavily character driven. Everyone gets an introduction or re-introduction. It's astounding how many people they managed to fit in there. Even if you don't care for the slower parts, you'd be crazy not to find the action packed moments towards the end absolutely thrilling. All the skills we've seen built up over the course of the previous series are shown like we've never seen them before. It's quite a blast. The biggest drawback to this movie is that if you haven't been a long time fan, there may not be much here for you. But if you have been following Naruto over the years and you haven't yet watched the new show, this movie should hit all the right notes.

Out of shear curiosity after an epic 15 year series by Kishimoto sensei, I was interested in this movie. I was reluctant as I didn't think one could come up with a follow up to match, I was totally wrong! This movie brought out the growth of the age as it has modernized and the children of the main families that were in Naruto Shippuden. What a great plot and a feel of natural continuity of the ended series, perhaps thanks to seeing Naruto and Sasuke as great leaders who had brought peace to the constant tensions between the ninja villages of their feudal domains. The children are not mere copies of their parents, but show the inherited powers they are trying to master. Not just that, but the modernization we should expect to see and did as it was portrayed thoughtfully and carefully. To be honest, I did not expect so much as Kishimoto sensei has passed the main work to his assistants and act more as a reviewer and idea source, to what I understand, but great job and great entertainment!!

Always nice to be treated to the shinobi world. If you haven't watched (or read) the latest manga, definitely some spoilers (watching Naruto: The Last would help too). As with characters in novels, it's nice to see those you've grown up with grow up themselves. It grounds the arcs in "reality." I watch it - and all anime/foreign films - in their native language so not sure about the English dubbing. As with all anime, it'd be nice if there was an option for just subtitles as I don't watch dubbed movies (most of the acting is over-the-top and just sounds goofy to me compared to the native language). It'd also make the sets cheaper. $32+ for two hours of anime is expensive! If you like Naruto (or just good anime in general), definitely a "best buy."

This movie continues from the Naruto Shippuden series after chapter 700 of where the manga ended. It's basically Naruto's kid, Boruto, telling his story. What makes this movie feels so special is that those of us that grew up with the Naruto series can see how our generation is doing and how different this new generation of ninjas are. We see how Naruto is as Hokage. I love the character interactions. The action is pretty good too. It has a Dragon Ball Z feel at times. Overall, awesome movie! If you're a fan of the Naruto series and what to see how everyone is doing after the Shippuden series ended and learn why Boruto is the way he is, then get this movie!!!

If you enjoyed the Naruto anime series and want more then look no further than the start of the Boruto series. This movie sets up Boruto's story as a young boy who is the opposite of his father (Naruto) in many aspects. , but the heart of a man doing what is just remains the same. It is good to see many of the other characters that I grew up with grown up as well, and I cannot wait for the anime series and manga to begin. I recommend highly.

The movie was amazing! It was a great transition from Naruto to the new generation with Boruto. It showed how each of the original characters have grown, and shows how the new characters will be and continue to grow. It definitely added to the Naruto saga, and made me very excited to watch Boruto and his growth.

If the the new Boruto series is gonna be anything like the movie, then I can't wait for it to start!! That movie was so good! You get to see another side of Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, and few other regulars on the show. Plus, you get to see Boruto, and see how he handles being a ninja. Just talking about it makes me want to watch it again, right now. Great movie!!!

This is the first time that I have seen an anime movie with a story set ahead of the series. The series began airing a few weeks later and I was confused as to why some characters did not seem to know the others. Other than that, it is an action-packed romp with the children of the original Naruto cast.
