  • Features
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Q: What is CrystalDry.

A: they are crystals that interact with the moisture in the dishwasher that increases the inside temp to about 175°. There isn't an electrical drying element. Works great and I assume that they last forever. For all crystal dry models

Q: Has anyone encountered a code, E24? I bought this a month ago and yesterday E24 lit up in the middle of a wash. Everything is wet, the water won't drain and it stopped working. Any insights would be GREATLY appreciated.

A: It's a drain error. Most of the time it's not too hard to self-repair so I would suggest trying that before paying a repair person, also yours should be under warranty. That has been an all-too-common problem on our current Bosch model which is now 7+ years old. We owned two before this and never experienced the error message once. It's probably one of two things. The easiest thing to repair is clearing the impeller. Just Google Bosch dishwasher error 24 and you'll get lots of youtube videos showing how it's done. Basically, a small piece of glass or other hard object probably got stuck in the small impeller (kind of like a propeller) that pumps the water from the dishwasher to the drain. The only tools you are likely to need for this are a sponge or a baster and sponge to remove the water, needle nose pliers to remove the plastic impeller cover, and possibly a tweezer depending upon the size of the object that clogging up the works. The other possibility is more complicated and involves pulling out the dishwasher and detaching the drain hose. There are videos for this too but it probably requires a talented DIYer to pull this off. Our dishwasher is currently on the blink (Error E24!) and we've tried clearing the impeller which we've successfully done three times before, but to no avail this time around. That's how I came across you question. Good luck!

Q: Do all Bosch Series 800 Dishwashers have "1b Dispenser for special salt *" I want to purchase the correct Model.

A: Hi Walt, thank you for your question regarding Model:SHEM78Z55N. The Bosch 800 Series Dishwashers do not have internal Water Softeners. This Bosch Benchmark Model does have an internal Water Softener, Model: SHP88PZ55N.

Q: Does this dishwasher come with a power cord?

A: It comes with a power cord for a conventional three prong outlet. If you want to direct wire, you need to buy a Bosch accessory for that purpose.

Q: How do you get 5 different bosch appliances to have matching handles? Can U choose ur handles? Same for DW/fridge/microwave,etc?

A: Hi kitty123, thank you for your question and your interest in Bosch appliances. Depending on which Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Microwave you are interested in we do have options. As for handles, many choose our Bar Handle which is available in all categories, such as Ranges, Microwaves, Dishwashers, Refrigerators and more.

Q: Hello, does the silverware holder come out completely and or can you move it around?

A: Yes, it does come out. It is hooked to the lower rank. Just lean it forward and it will come out. I have not figured out a way to move it. I hope this helps.

Q: We were just in the store in Madison, MS and they had a free installation promotion for all Bosch Dishwashers over $629.99. Is this option available online if I purchase this unit?

A: Free installation is included as advertised with purchase weather on line or in the store. Free removal of old appliance is also offered.
