Bose Speakers with wrong cables.
||Posted .The Speakers working great, but I'm not able to connect the surround speakers because those cables provided come wrong. The manual says that should be 50 feet to reach the back speakears, and all what I have are just 6 feet cables.
No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from Bose support
Posted .Hi Claudio. Sorry to hear that the cables are the wrong length. The 5.1 Acoustimass systems should come with three 20' wires for the front speakers and two 50' wires for the rear speakers. We would like to help you with this. Please call us at 800-380-4831. We are available Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 9pm EST and Saturday 9am to 7pm EST.

Incredible surround sound in compact style
||Posted .I couldn't ask for more... literaly. This system has been a dream of mine for quite some time and now it is in my house and half the time I don't have to go above 60% volume because it is already loud enough for my neighbors to hear. I love the small but powerfull speakers because they can easily be acomodated and strategically hidden away. My rear speakers are rarely noticed by my guests and family unless a have a game or movie playing. The bass/amplifier module is powerfull enough to make my walls vibrate and the entire room shake with the explosions and music. I have my system set up in my livingroom wich is 15ftwide x 23ft long but the BOSE Accoustimass 10 system could easily handle a much larger room. The only negative I can give this product, although it isn't really ralated to the quality of the product itself, is that there are no brackets or stands included. That was no problem for me and I'm sure for most of you this wont be either as there are countless speaker brackets on the market. The five satelite speakers where a little heavier than what I expected but that is do to the fact that they have quality materials built into them and that is just great. This system not only replaced my older surround sound system but crushed it and the best part is now I don't have to worry about large tower speakers cluttering my livingroom space. I watch at least 4 to 6 movies per week and the bose system delivers clear, loud vocals and sound effects. I also use this system with my gaming console and it is just a great experience for me and my firends. For those of you who want this product but are hesitating or doubting because of the negative reviews, don't listen to them, they're probably reviewing the wrong product, haha. Invest in this Bose Acoustimass 10 system and you will be rewarded with years of loud, clear, incredible entertainment.

This system delivers.
||Posted .All three of my brothers have Bose speaker systems in their homes and were always telling me how great they sounded. When I saw this item at my local Best Buy store I was a little skeptical how these small speakers could deliver such a powerful sound. I purchased this item with a 55" Samsung 3D TV and a Yamaha audio/video receiver. These speakers delivered every little subtle sound found in the audio mix. I collect mostly Blu-Ray musical concert appearances of the very best performers of rock and roll and country artists. My previous system had JBL columns on each side and a JBL center speaker and JBL 10" subwoofer. These concert blu-rays were pretty good when played on that system; but, when played on my new Bose system it was such an improvement. The sub-woofer was really kicking and those small Bose speakers I was worried about were really reaching out there. I felt like I was right there in the concert hall with the live act. I am very pleased with this purchase.

You can never go wrong with Bose
||Posted .This is my third set of Bose speakers, not because they've broken, I still have all of them. I purchased my first set 17 years ago and they are still going strong. Then I purchased a set for my computer about 6 years ago...listening to them now while I write this. My most recent purchase was a couple weeks ago that I put in my bedroom with an amazing Pioneer receiver. Now you would think why would I put these in my bedroom? To listen to movies on my big screen while watching in bed, but the main reason was so I could put the speakers in my bedroom windows to listen to my playlist while out in my very large backyard...and these are freaking amazing!!! Not only is the sound quality perfect, but I can hear every word perfectly from a long distance away. These speakers are replacing a mediocre set that I paid a decent amount of money for several years back. I should have purchased the Bose then instead of wasting my money on junk! The power, sound, small size and over all quality is worth every penny and I will never purchase any other brand ever!!!

This is a higher end system.
||Posted .This system provides clear powerful sound coupled with my Onkyo AV unit. Although this system was in the 1,000.00 range its worth every penny. The bookshelf speakers are great. They blend in and the swivel of the speakers allows for them to be positioned in 2 different directions ensuring full coverage of the room. This system is everything that Bose is supposed to be. I am very happy with this system.

Bose are the best!
||Posted .These are wonderful speakers. More expensive then most but worth the price for the sound they produce. Smaller size cubes and when mounted, can be swiveled to direction that produces the best surround sound for any room. Small but powerful. I feel the best name in speakers, Bose. These were place up in the corners by the ceiling on 14 ft walls. Although they probably should have been mounted lower (wires had already been run from previous speakers) the sound is still wonderfully full and concise.

Best surround sound system I have owned
||Posted .This is well worth the price tag. The surround speakers are small and are easy to install. The bass box is rather big, but can be hidden behind furniture, if wanted. I love the fact you don’t have to have big bulky speakers to get amazing sound quality. Movies sound awesome and listening to music is so clear.....Wish I would have purchased these years ago.

Top notch speaker system for home theater or music
||Posted .I have wanted these speakers for so long but thought the price was too much. After a few weeks I am blown away with how well they sound compared to my old system. The high end is crisp and clear, and the low end will shake the walls "can't say my wife likes that part". These also sound excellent for music and gaming. You can't go wrong with these speakers. One thing I will say is save your time and buy the Bose speaker mounting brackets, I tried to save money and bought some compatible brackets and they are very cheaply constructed.

Q: Questioncan I use bose acoustimass 5 speakers with my existing speaker wires?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer If you are intending to use one of our Acoustimass systems with standard speaker wire that has already been run in your house, we do offer a speaker wire adapter kit. This kit includes a wall plate for the bare wires to connect, and then a 7’ cable to connect into your Acoustimass module. If your question is about adding additional speakers to the Acoustimass 10 Series IV, you may add one additional speaker with an adapter. For more information about these setups, or if we did not answer your question, please contact Bose Product and Technical Support at 1-800-711-5772 - 8:30AM-10:00PM M-F, Sat 9-7:00 EST. Thanks!

Q: QuestionSony STR-DN840 7.2 Channel 4K receiver will work with bose acoustimass 10 series?I bought bose acoustimass 10 series. Sony STR-DN840 7.2 Channel 4K receiver will work with bose acoustimass 10 series? Can I use Bose 151 Indoor/Outdoor Speaker Pair (White) for my additional speaker to complete my 7.2 channel?
Asked by Boselover.
- A:Answer I bought the acoustimass 10 and the DN 840 and YES they work together. I bought the acoustimass 5 system to complete the 7.2. Although the acoustimass 5 doesnt actually plug into the bass outlet so I can probably buy another sub. I don't think the 151 had the correct ohms or watts to work how it's supposed to. They should work, but they may blow out if you turn the volume too loud one day, or they'll blow easier than a different speaker would

Q: QuestionSpeaker set up. Center speaker for 7.2 receiver with Acoustimass 10 S IVI purchased the Bose Acoustimass 10 series IV and a Sony 1015 Watts STRDH750 receiver, as well as a pair of Bose 161 for the front high surrounds. My question is this: What's the best place to place the center speaker? Is it at the top of the TV (a 60" Samsung Plasma) or a the bottom of the screen? I'm using all the included cube speakers with stands. Two at the sides of the TV (FL,FR) firing to the sides and the Surrounds on the rear to the sides of the main seating Sofa (RR, RL) (also firing to the sides). I placed the 161 surrounds atop the sides of the TV and a bit higher (FHR, FHL) ( about 3 feet higher from the TV top edge and 2 feet from the leading edges). Both directly bolted to the wall. I placed a second subwoofer behind the sofa (Sony) as well, firing to the side. The Bose subwoofer seats to the left of the TV cabinet firing to the front. I bought the table stand for the center cube speaker, but I'm not sure what's the best place to place it to obtain the ideal sound for my surround system. Some plans I see online have the center speaker below the TV and others atop it. What would be best with this system as set up in a 7.2 configuration? Should I buy the wall bracket for the center speaker and set it above the TV on the wall? A note: For those wanting a 7.2 setup with the Acoustimass 10 series IV do what I did and get the 161 Bose surround speakers. They are a great match for this type of setup. You can use them either on the added rear back surrounds or as front high surrounds. I went with the front high surrounds as the cube speakers from Bose allow you to fire in two different directions from the same spot and thus negating the need for more speakers on the rear. The front high surrounds are great for sounds coming from above and feel realistic when sound flies above your head.
Asked by Ray.
- A:Answer Hi Ray, As long as your speakers are mounted at ear-height or above while listening, the exact height is not actually a big factor in sound quality with these speakers. The center channel will perform equally well below or above the TV as long as this one height-requirement is met. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionCan I substitute the center speaker in the Acoustimass 10 for a Boston Acoustics VR 920Will it effect quality of sound
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hi, thanks for your question. You can certainly use a third party center channel speaker in place of the Acoustimass 10 speaker. You’ll want to be sure to connect it directly to the center channel output of your receiver as opposed the output of the Acoustimass bass module. The acoustic characteristics will likely differ, though it’s really personal preference. We hope this helps!

Q: QuestionSpeaker WireIs it worth buying some branded wire to substitute the wire coming in the box of the acoustimass 10?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The speaker wire included with our Acoustimass 10 Series IV speaker system is standard 18 gauge wire, which should be suitable for most installations. If you plan on running your wiring inside of a wall, please note that our speaker wires are not approved for in wall use. Thanks!
