    Great Sub for Great Price

I bought this sub to replace a very very old one that was cheap. I bought this one after listening to all of them at the store in the Magnolia area. This sub gave the best sound for the price. I was not willing to spend thousands on a sub as there are other components left to get and needed to spread the money. I liked the Bowers & Wilkins speakers and subs the best. I listened to the more expensive B&W sub (something like $1400) and compared it to this one. Sure it was a bit tighter and louder but it was about 2.5 times the cost. Just couldn't justify the small difference for the extra cost. I brought the speaker home and installed it right away. Very easy! I got my Marantz all dialed in for the new sub and tested several movies, tv shows, and songs. WOW! I have a vaulted 2 story living room thats like 26x18. This sub shakes the walls. My wife said "good thing thats not any bigger or louder"! I really am impressed. And I only have it set less than 50%! I was a bit worried at first knowing I listened to it in the store's small room compared to my large open room but I was not disappointed! This thing kicks a@$. If you have money to burn holes in your pockets then by all means get the bigger better B&W subs, but if you are like me who has a family and bills then buy this one. It covers what you need and won't break your bank. You will still have money left over to buy the rest of the system! I promise you won't be disappointed!

I've only had the Asw610b for a few days but this little sub sounds great and has the punch when you need it while watching movies. I bought it to compliment an older lower end B&W surround sound in my movie theater which is about 18x18. I was nervous about it only having 200watts rms but with this sub its about quality not quantity. I'm replacing 2 Klipche 12s (that I'm now listening to music with the matching towers in another room) and although this little 10 is no where near as loud it has a much smoother sound. This sub might not be the best for larger open floor plan rooms or ones with vaulted ceilings but in my closed theater its pretty nice. I was able to get it for $550 open box which knocked off $100 as well as $20 from the 4yr warranty so I felt I got a pretty good deal.

Great sub, but not good enough for the money

I bought a $200 BIC America sub 10 years ago, finally died on me. So I thought I'd try a better, more expensive model and heard good things about this sub. Did the subwoofer crawl, mic set up and auto tune. Kept messing with the settings on my receiver to get the right balance of bass with my main speakers and sounded really nice. However, perhaps because I'm not an audiophile, it just didn't sound or perform much better than my old $200 sub. I also heard a little cabinet resonance on the deeper bass hits, which was pretty disappointing. After hours of music and movies I finally decided it wasn't worth nearly 3x the price of my old $200 sub, and that I'd much rather buy two of my old subs. So take it for what you will, but my recommendation is it's not worth the extra money (unless money doesn't matter too you and name brand does). Good, clean sounding sub that just isn't worth this much money.

I was looking for a sub to replace my 10 year old onkyo. Saw this was rated well and thought it would work well with the rest of my b and w system. Sadly I was vary disappointed. This sub could not handle my demand for bass. Was not sure if 200 watts was enough. Turned out I was correct. Over all build quality is good and I do like all features of this sub. However all the tuning options could not help me. If your looking for a sub to play bass demanding music than keep looking. It's to easy to peak this sub. I will be returning this when the store opens and getting something with more watts and possibly larger.

This sub works well paired with the Panarama 2! It hooks seemlesly with just a sub woofer cable! There are plenty of other hook up options that I am not currently utilizing! It is smooth and steady. I keep the volume less than half, and this is more than enough! The other feature I enjoy, is the way the sub doesn't even kick on unless the volume is turned past a certain level on the Panarama 2! This might be more due to the Panarama 2 than sub! I guess the fact that both are Bowers and Wilkins helps!

After purchasing Bowers and Wilkins front speakers we found our old subwoofer could not keep up with them. We researched various subwoofers and decided to go with the BW ASW610 active subwoofer. It works great with our front speaks. At times we have to turn in down a little because our walls will rattle. It is powerful and will work with most sound systems.

This sub gives solid quality sound perfectly matched to the B & W Towers I bought two months prior. No boom-box whomp, solid blended bass to go with classical, jazz and surround sound 7.1 on Blue Ray. Protective Packaging, good instructions, and just the sound I wanted.

Make good music great with the Bowers and Wilkins subwoofer. Rich deep bass booms out of this sub like it was a much bigger speaker. Easy to hook up and user friendly controls make for a simple upgrade to any stereo system.
