The 804 D4 is the most compact floor standing speaker in the 800 Series Diamond range. Its new reverse-wrap cabinet follows the proven design principles established by its larger siblings and its new plinth ensures rock-solid, accurate bass response. Cabinet stiffness has been increased with an Aluminium Plate that reinforces the top of the cabinet. Midrange performance has been dramatically improved with a new Biomemetic Suspension that replaces a conventional fabric spider with a groundbreaking innovation that reduces distortion behind the drive unit. The Solid Body Tweeter enclosure has been elongated, increasing air volume behind the diamond tweeter which improves the openness in high frequencies. The top section’s aluminium top-plate is covered in Leather by Connolly trim. We use luxurious, full-grain black leather for Gloss Black and Satin Rosenut finishes, and a light grey leather for White and Satin Walnut.
