Create an immersive audio setup with this Bowers & Wilkins CWM Cinema 7 in-wall speaker system, which features two 4" bass/midrange drivers, two 4" paper-cone bass drivers and a 1" Nautilus tube-loaded, aluminum-dome tweeter.
Q: is It recommended or required to purchase a cabinet to install these inside a wall?
A: Hi Kevin, While you do not need to use a back-box with these speakers, that does give you the benefit of reducing the amount of sound that will be transmitted to an adjacent space. However, you would need to remove a large section of drywall to do so and install a Pre Mount Kit. If you are not comfortable with that additional work, you'll still get excellent performance from the CWM Cinema 7.
A: You would need an amplifier or audio video receiver to power your CWM Cinema 7. Most likely, the previous owner had one that was powering these speakers. To wirelessly stream music to the speakers through the receiver, you would need something like a Formation Audio (a product we make.)
A: Hi JDLCPM, You’ll be fine at those operating temperatures. What I would recommend on really cold winter days is not to immediately turn the volume up all of the way.
Q: Can you use this as a Center chanel speaker and CWM 664's as l & R?
A: i think you could. would look nice
