Braun - Series 5 Smooth & Precise

After having just speaking with the authorized Braun service center because my razor has now lapsed the two (2) year warranty, for the cost of the repair price I am now shopping for a new razor. Asking further about the need for the frequent razor and foil replacements he stated the razor was not traveling its full range of motion. This is a result of the circuit card in this razor. What was disturbing is his comment that this was not uncommon. So if you want a razor that doesn't shave as close as less expensive models, needs frequent blade and foil replacements, and lasts about as long as the blades found in the three packs, then this is the razor for you! I am extremely disappointed since I had owned two Braun razor prior to this but after seeing the lack of quality in product I will not be buying Braun ever again...

This the newest version of the series 5 ( model 5-570cc-2) redesign very ergonomic ,soft grips ,well balanced ,fits hand well. push button on/off, positive lock on position for the trimmer, / trimmer has a very sharp blade, excellent ! charge light indcator, power on light. its shape gives you good visibility shaving close details. pleased with everything about this shaver except the performance on the neck hairs, I either run the trimmer blade over and over on my neck getting most of those tough to shave neck hairs then final pass with shaver head or use manual razor. It does great job on face. My old $ 80 remmington shaved with nearly same results. I heard how great these brauns were, I have a 60 day trial period to use the braun, I'll give it 30 days .[ I wonder if the series 7 pulsonics shave the tough neck hairs ? never saw any reviews on the neck hair problem area yet. ] Again in the past history I had both style shaver heads (rotory being the other) and diferent brand shavers , they all performed satisfactory on the face but not the neck. Only because of this shaver model 5-5570cc-2, it's high price verses tough neck hairs I could not tell some to spend almost $200 for it right now, even though it is of high quality very user friendly and ergonomic. * * * 30 days from now I may update my review depending on shaver verses tough neck hairs it might be yes.
