Q: How do I get a power cord for my Braven Balance

A: it won't be easy. I have a box of 100 12V adapters and not 1 of them fits. a Netgear 12V router adapter is a very common plug size, and that was too big. the jack says 12V 3A, which should require a bigger plug, but this one is smaller, which is odd. I don't think you're going to find one. nothing uses a smaller plug with higher amps. what did fit, were 5V adapters. you could transplant a plug like that onto a 12V 3A adapter. or a 2.5A would probably work.

Good quality for the money
I have a first gen Braven bluetooth speaker. It actually does have an 18 hour battery life. I have used it at work and it will run through 2 full shifts before it needs to be charged. There are better sounding bluetooth speakers for twice the price, but their battery life is maybe 5 hours. The sound on the Balance is much better than the first gen Braven I have. There are bass speakers on both ends of the Balance. The shape is better than the cylinder shaped ones because it won't roll off the seat in the car or boat. The silicone body helps it stick in one spot. What I really like to use this speaker for besides music is when I am using my phone in the car as my GPS, I use the speaker so I can hear the GPS. It works really well for this purpose. The only drawback I've found so far is that it doesn't have an easy carry case. I have not had occasion to test the water resistance of this speaker so I cannot speak to that.

Cool little speaker
I purchased this on a whim since it was on sale and I had some best buy rewards getting ready to expire. I've been really happy with it, whenever I'm doing something around the house, cleaning, reading, showering, ect, I can sync to this and rock out. It would be great to take to the beach or to the pool since it's waterproof. It puts out decent sound with solid bass. The color is nice and bright so it'd be difficult although not impossible to lose. Finally it's pretty portable, it's about the size of an average paperback so while you can't tuck it into your pocket unless you have JINCO's you can easily put into a backpack or satchel.

Overall great speaker
I bought this to take on a fishing trip to play tunes in the boat. It works fine for this. We also used it in the car to listen to an audio book. Has really nice sound. I wish there was some way to plug into the stereo port and have the protective rubber covering on at the same time - minor nuisance. The sound on this is really very good for its size - got bass definition. The best thing was the amount of time per charge - I charged it fully before the first use. We used it for several hours on two occasions in the boat, then listened to audiobooks for a good 9 hours in the car - and it was still running strong. Very happy about this purchase!
