Features
Eye Relief: 50 millimeters (The maximum distance between the eyepiece lens and user's eye at which the full field of view can be seen.)
Computerized Hand Control: false
Magnification Type: Variable (Variable magnification indicates the presence of a zoom function on the device, but fixed magnification cannot be adjusted by the user.)
Optical Design: Refractor (There are three primary optical designs for telescopes: refractor, reflector, or catadioptric. Refractors use lenses, reflectors use mirror(s), and catadioptric telescopes use a combination of both to form images.)
Electronic Red-Dot Projection Viewfinder: true (Locate astronomical objects more easily by using the electronic red-dot viewfinder, which shows unmagnified upright images. Wherever the telescope is pointed, a red dot or other symbol appears on the projection screen to help the user locate and focus on targets.)
Indicator Light(s): false
Mount Type: Manual alt-azimuth
Tripod Mountable: Yes
Integrated Digital Camera: false
Multi-Coated Optics: false (Multiple lens surfaces are coated and/or have multiple layers of thin films applied to each. Generally, more lens coatings provide higher levels of light transmission, contrast, and color clarity.)
General
Product Name: 600mm Refractor Telescope
Brand: Cassini
Recommended Minimum Age: 8 years
Model Number: C-JRS
Color: White/Black
Imaging
Image Stabilization: false (This feature helps reduce image/video blur or distortion that may occur from unsteady motion.)
Field Of View: 10 degrees (The area of a target, measured as an angle from the location of viewing, that can be observed.)
Magnification: 100 times
Additional Dimensions
Optical Tube Dimension Length: 508 millimeters
Optical Tube Dimension Diameter: 89 millimeters
Objective Lens Diameter: 50 millimeters (Generally, the larger the diameter of the objective lens, the greater the light-collecting power and the brighter images will appear.)
Dimensions
Product Height: 50 inches (The out of box height of the item. Height is measured as the vertical distance from the bottom of the item to the top as it would be primarily used or placed.)
Product Width: 32 inches (The out of box width of the item. Width is measured as the horizontal distance from one side of the item to the other as it would be primarily used or placed.)
Product Depth: 32 inches (The out of box depth of the item. Depth is measured as the distance from the front of the item to the back as it would be primarily used or placed.)
Product Weight: 20 pounds (The out of box weight of the item.)

Exposure Control
Focal Ratio: f/5 (Measurement of the device's optic "speed," calculated by dviding focal length by aperture. The smaller (faster) the f/number, the lower the magnification, wider the field of view, and brighter the image - good for low power observing and deep space photography. Larger (slower) f/numbers are better suited for high power lunar and planetary viewing.)
Focal Length: 600 millimeters (The distance from an optical device's primary lens or mirror to the point where light rays come together in a single focused point, used to determine a device's magnifying power.)

Peer up at the stars with this Cassini C-JRS refractor telescope that is mounted on an Altitude Azimuth yoke mount to offer easy up, down, left and right movement. The focus housing rotates 360° for easy adult and child access.
30x and 100x power magnification: To bring the terrestrial objects within view.
50mm 2-element achromat air-spaced objective lens: With a multicoated finish and a resolving power of 2.28 arc seconds for clear images.
600mm focal length: For clarity and precision. The diffraction-limited tube is fully baffled for excellent visual and CCD imaging.
45° diagonal Schmidt prism: Is fully coated in magnesium fluoride for optimal viewing. Diagonal-prism viewfinder provides an optically erect image.
2 eyepieces: Include a high-powered 6mm eyepiece for stargazing and a standard-power 20mm eyepiece for viewing planets.
Erect image prism: Allows day and night viewing.
Altitude Azimuth yoke mount: Provides easy up, down, left and right movement and features a slow-motion altitude adjustment rod for precise alignment.
Focus housing: Rotates 360° to provide easy access for children and adults.
Mars' Eye electronic red-dot finderscope: Maintains the surrounding field of view when targeting objects.
Adjustable tripod: Offers a sturdy base for the telescope and features retractable rubber feet to keep the tripod in place.

Great telescope for a beginner
We are still waiting to use it at night because the temps are pretty frigid, but my son has been able to use it to look outside through the window for now.
