Geek Squad Complete Protection delivers all the benefits of Geek Squad Protection, plus you'll have coverage in case your phone is lost or stolen.2

If you accidentally damage your product while handling it, we'll take care of it.

Enjoy peace of mind knowing that you're covered if the unexpected happens.

Your original in-box accessories are covered as well.

We'll cover any of the accessories that came in the original cell phone box, including chargers, earbuds and more.

If your battery won't hold a charge, we'll replace it.

Get a one-time replacement for your original non-disposable battery if it fails to hold a charge.

If your screen has bad pixels or a shadow image, we'll correct it.

This could be a problem with an internal part or speaker, or how the cell phone was manufactured. It could also be caused by dust, internal heat or humidity.

If there's a failure from normal wear and tear, we'll repair it.

If you have at least three pixels that are always the same color or a ghost image that won't go away, we'll get your picture looking like new.

We'll help ensure that your cell phone can be traded in.

You can't trade in a broken phone at Best Buy, so Geek Squad Protection will help your phone continue to work great until it's time to trade it in.

When you sell or give someone your covered product, Geek Squad Protection is still in effect, with no additional charges or restrictions. Call 1-800-433-5778 to transfer.

Geek Squad Complete Protection — service fees and deductibles.

If the claim is for drops, spills, cracks, mechanical failure, wear, tear or one-time battery replacement, there is a limit of three claims within the plan term. In these circumstances, a service fee will be assessed if we determine that we need to replace your device. If the claim is for loss or theft, there is a limit of two claims within a rolling 12 months. A deducible will apply to all loss and theft claims.

1. Geek Squad Complete Protection as well as standalone Loss and Theft Coverage are not available in the state of New York.

2. A Deductible will apply to all Loss and Theft insurance claims and the amount shall be based on the non-discounted Best Buy retail price of the covered device at the time of purchase. Loss and Theft insurance can also be purchased separately — not part of Geek Squad Complete Protection.

3. A Service Fee will apply to all claims where we replace your device or provide you with a gift card for its value and the amount of the Service Fee shall be based on the non-discounted Best Buy retail price of the covered device at the time of purchase.

How does Geek Squad Protection work with your manufacturer warranty?

During the original manufacturer's warranty period, most repairs will be handled by the manufacturer. Keep in mind that Geek Squad Protection often covers important repairs that your manufacturer warranty doesn't, like failure due to a power surge.

If something goes wrong after the original manufacturer warranty ends, Geek Squad Protection has your back and will take care of any covered repairs.

Repairs are performed by either Geek Squad or one of our authorized third-party contractors. We require our third-party contractors to conduct a background check on any person they hire to enter your home.
