Q: QuestionDoes it work other brand like craftman?(5 answers)
A: AnswerHello. The myQ Video Keypad is compatible with both WIFI enabled Chamberlain or LiftMaster garage door openers and non-Chamberlain-produced garage door openers that use the myQ Smart Garage Control. Once the Video Keypad is successfully installed it will communicate with the myQ hub via myQ to open and close your garage door.Answered by TheChamberlainTeam
- A: AnswerThe keypad will operate the opener as long as it still has power. However, with no internet connection available, the camera/video features would not be available until re-connected.

A: AnswerYES! Very easy to set upAnswered by Anonymous
- A: AnswerHello, thank you for your question. The myQ Video Keypad will only program to one garage door opener, you would need to purchase a Video Keypad for every garage door.

Q: QuestionIs this wireless and easy to install?(3 answers)
A: AnswerYes, and Yes. It's battery powered, so completely wireless. The installation is basically using the mounting plate to mark and drill two holes, setting the anchors in the holes, and finishing setting the screws in the anchor (If you're mounting to wood, you won't need to drill pilot holes or set anchors; just screw directly into the wood. The setup, would've been a whole lot trickier had I not reached out to MyQ support before attempting it. So I definitely recommend contacting them before activating and setting up your device (which is much easier to do before you mount the keypad). So: Step 1 - Call MyQ support first. Let them know the model number of you opener, and whether you're using Apple or Android. They'll email you a set of instructions that'll get you up and going way, way quicker. Step 2 - Follow their instructions to finish the setup. Step 3 - Install the device in your desired location. It's also worth mentioning that depending on your particular model of opener, you may need to order an additional device to make everything work correctly, as was the case for me. But, a quick call to the MyQ people will let you know if you need the additional device, which is basically a hub that most of their openers have built-in, but mine was the one model that didn't have that. I think the additional part was around $30. I just Googled my brains out until I found it at the cheapest price. I've had it installed for about a month or so, and it's been working great.Answered by drewsouth

Love this upgrade
Have been using this for about a year now, I bought a second when they were on sale to have another battery and that works really awesome. Easy entry to my garage with a code and you get to see who is "calling" when they are trying to get in. Great upgrade to the typical number pad that most garages have. Going to buy another for my other garage door!

Poor Signal and Battery Life
IF it works it's fine. My experience has been poor enough that I'm ready to loose the money spent on this (and a network extender & extra battery) and return to the silicone keypad that this unit replaced. Changing the battery, which dies every week is a hassle because of a small screw that secures it. The wireless signal always shows as middle to low although the network extenders is on the opposite side of the interior wall. No other wireless device I own, including thermostat, smoke detectors, security camera, etc performs as poorly as this thing does. Waste of money. Gets two stars only because the day/night video resolution is nice

More than just a Keypad
My old garage door keypad had been broke for a few years. We replaced our old owner with a new Chamberlain opener this past summer but didn't come with a keypad. I saw a good deal on this keypad and thought I would try it. So far so good! I like the option to open it if I'm out front and decide to sweep/clean up the front porch. I can assign friends/family their own codes so they have access if I'm not home. So far the battery has lasted four weeks and I have it at the minimum sensitivity. I plan to buy a second battery eventually so I don't have down time. I like that I can talk to the person opening the garage from the camera. I just wanted a keypad but got so much more!
