Reliable Performance with a Few Surprises: My Expe
4.5 Stars I've been using the Drone Mobile Dash Cam for a while now, and my experience has been quite positive overall. The device functions well and has been reliable in capturing footage during my drives. One aspect that caught me by surprise was the need for an additional subscription to access LTE functionality. This wasn't clearly highlighted before my purchase, and it's something potential buyers should be aware of. Without the LTE subscription, some advanced features are unavailable, which might be a drawback for some users. However, during the free trial period of the LTE service, I found one feature particularly impressive: whenever an alarm is triggered, the dash cam automatically sends a clip of the incident directly to my phone. This real-time alert and recording feature is incredibly useful for security purposes and adds significant value to the device. Another point to note is that the Drone Mobile Dash Cam replaces any existing Drone Mobile module in your vehicle. This was another detail I wasn't initially aware of, so it's worth keeping in mind if you're integrating it into a system you already have. The dash cam mounts securely to the windshield. Its compact design ensures it doesn't obstruct the driver's view, which is a crucial aspect for safety and convenience. Despite these minor issues, the dash cam has been performing well, capturing clear and reliable footage. Drone Dash Cam
Absolutely amazing video quality. Is amazing always knowing my car is secure and safe, being able to look at live video and live gps data. As well as notifications any time my system is triggered.

Close but not quite there, pretty heavy cons.
I purchased this set for the LTE connectivity for the most part. However overall this is a mixed bag. I have had this camera set in two different cars now, I am about 7 months in, here has been my experiences so far. - I had them installed at a location about 90 minutes away from my home, I declined making the installer pair it to my phone, I figured I would do that at home. It never paired to my phone, got to the point I called Compustar for help, they immediately said they haven't seen that before, but I need to exchange it. Not super helpful, was not willing to diagnos anything. Just said swap it. I had to drive to a different location since they had it in stock, that one was an hour. I swapped the camera, and boom it activated perfectly. - I originally had the setting "automatically upload video if alarm goes off" enabled, seemed like a killer option, however, my remote start / security also had an issue, and it was setting the alarm off every 30 secs or so, so in a few hours I blew through my data limit. I had to eventually just not lock my car. This was all resolved after a week or so. But still rough it killed my remote data limit, and even Compustar wasnt willing to do anything with the data, or reset anything. It wasnt the end of the world, but annoying I had to change what plan for the rest of the month when it was still a defect on their side. here are some of the worst CONS I have run into with this camera - The "manual record" button the unit is not like what I am used to, it starts recording that moment. I am used to the button goes back like 30 secs and then saves that file. This camera it starts recording when you pressed the button. So the few times I witnessed something, I would hit the button, then I went to check the footage, and its the minutes after the button press. Just useless. - SOUNDS, are just dumb on this thing. "recording started" or a sound every time you hit a bump. Fine there is a setting to disable the sounds of the camera, seems like a winner right? Nope, Any error message like "SD card error, please reformat" Is also muted. They need to make errors / priority messages still said. For who knows how long I was not recording, since I turned the camera sounds off. - The membership plans are CLUNKY, I had to have a membership for remote controlling the car, and one for the camera. But I got a trial, then in the middle of the trial I got an email saying I needed to pay, but that was talking about drone, not the camera plan. They need three plans, Control, Watch, Control and Watch. Then it would be easy. I have had to help a friend also with getting their membership kinda cleared up. - Not deal breakers but little silly things: - You cant name camera 2, so my app looks good, says "Front" and "cam 2" would be nice to name them even back or interior. Just cam 2. - The security screw with the mount is kinda a pain to get to and remove the SD card, and will limit some placement of the dash camera. Pros of this camera: - Having LTE remote view front and rear is awesome, being able to see both sides has been awesome. - Quality is fine, the footage isnt amazing, but much clearer then dash cameras started with. - No screen, this is a personal preference, but I think ones without screens look so much nicer. - Integration with the alarm when working correctly does work well, you can get real time readouts of your battery voltage, temperature in your cabin, and the automatic uploads (when working correctly) Overall, this is a ok camera, and with the alarm its a good possibility, but stand alone I dont think its there yet.
