Q: Do I need the Xbox adapter to use this headeset on the Xbox one?
A: If you have an Xbox controller without a 3.5mm jack you will need the Xbox Headset Adapter. If the controller does have a jack then you can plug the headset directly into that.

A: None whatsoever when on your head. My wife is usually 2 or 3 feet away when I'm playing and she has very sensitive hearing. She said it is absolute silence.
