Creative - Fatal1ty USB Gaming Headset

Overall great headset. I gave it a 4 on overall because I've only had it for a week, but it's holding up very nicely with no problems. Pros- -Sound quality is awesome because it's powered by USB so you'll have no feedback because of a bad sound card or have to have multiple cables. -Great bass, not obnoxious either -Mic is detachable in case you don't want it in your way -Very soft padding -Long cable in case you have a desktop -In depth programs included, pretty user friendly too :) -Works with PS3, but you can only send chat to headphones, not the games music and sound effects... :( Cons- -Plastic feel(not sure how durable, but seems sound) -If you are already playing a game when you plug it in or listening to a song, whichever program your running you have to restart it or it wont register to the speakers(not sure if everyone has this problem or just my computer Asus G50Vt-X5 64-bit Vista) -Can get uncomfortable at times, after long hours of use, but you get used to it -Install was a bit longer than inspected -Had to set primary sound output to the headset so when I plugged it in all my sound would go directly to headset(But still have to reset any progams you want to use with it if already opened.) -Slightly pricey but still worth it. Not sure if you can find anything comparable cheaper.

The Headset over all is amazing!!! Very comfy on my ears as I have smaller ears then others. Like the detachable mic but would prefer that it was rotational like my other one just something that I'm use to. Sound is beautiful crisp and clear able to hear everything that I Have had to see in it even sounds on WoW that ive never heard in the game. I did encounter the same thing that one other person said in there review, after about 2 hours of using the product it sounds like a record is being stoped on all the sound then everything gets very highpitch as if it was on Helium at the time. Unplugging the headset then plugging back in resolved the issue but it can get tedius while in a 25 man raid. Would also prefer to have a dial vs the option of the button for the volume hard to determine right spot without the dial. As for the issue with the random highpitch sound after about 2 hours of use Im going to call creative labs and see if its a known issue and if they have a fix for it if not ill go to Best buy and exchange it for a new one or get the plantronic one that I have heard great things about instead.

This headset is amazing. I was really disappointed when I saw how flimsy it was and all that junk you have to install before they actually worked. I finally got them to work, and I was impressed. Sound quality was amazing, you could feel the bass in songs and sound in video games was awesome. The thing is that with Vista, I had to plug it in before boot in order for it to work, and then it would stop playing sound after about 1 hour. But the mic still worked. Awesome headset, would recommend to anyone not using Vista. (Or maybe it was the headset? I don't know.) Really disappointed though, now I have the GameCom 777. Sound quality is the same, and IT HAS SURROUND SOUND :D ! But bass isn't as good...

I really like sound when Im on the PC, and though my kids keep me from doing so, when I do play a game, I like thunderous explosions and fine detail when Im playing. When I first opened these I loved them, they were very comfortable, almost felt like I wasnt wearing anything, other than the weight, they sounded great (after a bit of tweaking) and the overall feeling was the price was worth it. But, I cant say I hear any "Positional" sound in any of the games I played, I may have to install the OpenAL drivers, but...it just sounds stereo to me. All in all, Im really enjoying them though.

I've used this headset for at least 4 months now. This headset rocks for gaming. The directional sound is awesome. I play WoW and sit in both TeamSpeak and Ventrilo servers during gameplay (Yes, both at the same time). My players tell me the sound quality on their end is great and I know the sound on my end is. I didn't think having directional sound for WoW would make much of a difference , but I could never go back to regular stereo headsets now. For the folks who have had problems with sound in Vent while playing WoW when using Vista, it probably isn't the headset. Make sure you have the latest drivers, of course, and always when you launch Vent, don't just click on the icon to start the program. Left click the icon and then select 'Run as Administrator'. That will resolve many sound issues you might run into by having Vent running in the background behind your game. The earcups are very comfortable. I have no irritation after wearing the headset for 12+ hours at a sitting during marathon game sessions. My only complaint was that the install was a little clunky. The CD didn't seem to want to run at first and I had quite a bit of fiddling to do with settings to get it to work. Now that it's working, however, I know the little annoyances I had during installation were worth it.

These headphones are awesome! I watch movies, play games, listen to music everything with these bad boys and they are amazing. I went through a total of 5 headphones before getting to these and I have got to say that these are by far the best ones. I did have one tiny issue with the first pair but it was so minor i almost didnt even bother to take them back. The base is thumping, the treble is great and the clarity is never an issue. Skype, gaming, music, whatever you want to use these for they will more than surpass your expectations!

I was looking for an upgrade from my previous headset that really wasn't comfortable after wearing it for more than an hour or so. I came across this in the store and immediately liked the fact that the earpads were not made from fake leather but actually more like a velvet material. I also liked the idea of the XFi software that the headset includes since my friend has a SoundBlaster soundcard and really likes the surround sound for headset with the sound card. This works great on this headset as well. Especially with WoW. The sound is great and has a great bass response. Much better than my previous headset. I also like the removable microphone since I can use these as regular headphones if I want to. If you're looking to upgrade your headset I definitely would give this one a shot.

When you see Fatal1ty's name on a product, you expect quality, and indeed some things about this product ARE quality. For example, the headset's construction is very nice and it even comes with a nice, soft carrying case. The design looks sleek and has red finish on the ears along with Fatal1ty's logo and signature. The audio from this headset is great and enhances music, games, and movies. I liked the software and how it integrates all of the creative products on your computer. The deal breaker for me, however, was when the microphone died after a little over a week of use. I hadn't dropped, ran over, or thrown the headset, and never took the microphone out after initially inserting it. The only explanation I can think of is shoddy wiring and for what I paid (around $80 at the time), this meant they had to be returned to Best Buy. I cannot recommend this headset as one of its key features did not work properly and merely left me with expensive headphones with a microphone that didn't work whatsoever.
