Good multi-cooker.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had one 8 quart multi cooker from this same brand and after 5 years using it it got broken. I decided to buy another one but I couldn’t find the 8 quart then I chose the 6 quart instead. So far no regrets. It’s working nicely and I’m in love with this feature that one has which my finger is pointing at. But this time I also purchased the geek squat protection lol.

Worth buying
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product, wife only cooks chicken using the air fryer, great for chicken wings, pork ribs, and anything with natural oils on it. If you do fish, make sure you spread some oil. Haven't had much luck with fresh cut fries. I wouldn't recommend a smaller size.

Q: QuestionIs this the one recalled?
Asked by Youdontneedtoknow.
- A:Answer Yes. The affected products, which cost between $70 and $100, have date codes K196JN through K365JN and L001JN through L273JN engraved on either the bottom of the base or on one prong of the electrical plugs. This model has date code K260JN which, unfortunately falls between those ranges of recall date codes. Sunbeam will send you a free lid if you contact them, and it is still safe for slow cooking and sauteing.

Q: QuestionCould this b consider a fast cooker Also the inside of this cooker is it stainless steel
Asked by Nita.
- A:Answer All pressure cookers, whether manual or electric, cook faster than other methods of cooking. But you do need to add time for the pot to come up to pressure and for it to release pressure after cooking is done. I have found that I need to add 15-18 minutes to come to pressure (depends on the amount of liquid you use). The time at the end depends on whether you manually release pressure or allow it come down on its own. Most recipes will tell you how long to cook your food and how to release pressure at the end of cooking that particular dish. So you need to add up the time to build up pressure, the time to actually cook, and the time to release pressure. My first time using it had the meal on the table a little late because I didn't figure it would take as long to come up to pressure as it did. The removable liner inside (that's what you put the food in) is not stainless steel. It is some kind of non-stick material and cleans up easily. The stationary, attached liner that the removable liner fits into is also not shiny stainless steel. It is some type of metal and is fairly thick. That's probably why the outside of the cooker doesn't really get hot to touch while cooking. I was surprised it didn't add heat to the area surrounding it.

Q: QuestionCan you boil eggs in this, and set the timer so it shuts off in 15 minutes?
Asked by jnandidl.
- A:Answer Awesome hard boiled eggs - - use the little grill insert thing, arrange your eggs with about a cup of water in the bottom and set to steam for 8 minutes. After the 8 minutes it will keep your eggs warm while it naturally releases the pressure. 8 minutes is for super well done boiled eggs. If you like them a little softer in the middle, do less time. The shells peel off like a dream and leaving them in the unit on "keep warm" hasn't hurt any of the eggs we've made so far.

- A:Answer It will do both. It is advertised as a pressure cooker/slow cooker/steamer. I have cooked everything in it using all the modes. It will cook rice.

Q: Questioncan we use as rice cooker
Asked by tom.
- A:Answer Yes. There are directions in the Owner's Manual that comes with the cooker for both white and brown rice and there is a "rice/grains" button on the front. The default setting for "rice/grains" is low pressure/12 minutes and you can adjust both the pressure (low or high) and cooking time (range is 3 to 30 minutes).

Q: QuestionIs there a p65 warning on this model?
Asked by Seastar19.
- A:Answer Per the manual, no, there is not a P65 warning. The various warning codes all begin with E and are followed by a one digit number, other than the “close the lid” warning. E1 and E2 state to unplug and all customer service. E3 is for if the lid did not close or seal properly. There is no E4. E5 is for when the lid or steam release is being used improperly. Last code given is E6 for if enough steam was not able to be generated to pressure completely. I hope this answers your question, if not their customer care number is 1-800-323-9519.
