  • Key Specs
    • Storage Capacity: 500 gigabytes (Measured in megabytes (MB), gigabytes (GB) and terabytes (TB), this is the amount available for storing files, music, movies, photos and more. The total includes the capacity of the hard disk drive and solid state drive if both are included on the computer.)
    • Storage Drive Type: SSD (Traditional, mechanical hard disk drives are the most common type of storage because they're relatively inexpensive and offer huge capacities. However, they also generate both noise and heat. Solid state drives, also known as SSDs, are many times faster than hard disk drives and have no moving parts to wear out, but typically offer less capacity for the same price.)
    • Maximum Read Speed: 2400 megabytes per second (The greatest speed at which the device can read information; for example, opening files.)
    • Maximum Write Speed: 1900 megabytes per second (The greatest speed at which the device can write information; for example, saving files.)
    • Form Factor: M.2
    • Interface(s): PCIe Gen 3 x4 (Refers to the types of connections that devices use to interact and communicate with each other.)

Q: Will this drive work with a Gateway GWTN156-5BK laptop? If not, can you make a recommendation of one that will? Thank you!

A: The expansion port on that Gateway PC only works with M.2 SATA SSD, not Nvme PCIe. The internal slot comes with an M.2 SATA SSD installed but it actually supports M.2 Nvme PCIe as well. So, when upgrading you would want to move the included drive to the expansion slot (it will work) and put an upgraded M.2 Nvme PCIe drive into the internal slot. Select to boot from the original drive that's now in the expansion slot and use backup software like Acronis to clone the original drive to the new, faster drive. Then select to boot from the new drive in the internal slot.

Q: Hello is this comparable with windows chrome book 11 g5?

Q: Is it compatible with Lenevo IdeaPad 330S 15.6"?Ddoes it come with m2 3mm screw?

A: Thank you for contacting us and for your question. I looked up your system and found that part number CT500P2SSD8 is in fact compatible with your Lenovo IdeaPad 330S laptop. The screw that is needed for install will be provided by the laptop manufacture and does not come with the purchase of the SSD. You will want to check the M.2 slot on your motherboard to find out if the manufacture provided a screw. If they did not, you will want to reach out to Lenovo to get the exact size needed. Have a great day!
