For anyone who wants a top of the line computer for gaming, but doesn't want to spend over $3,000 for a laptop with a desktop CPU or dual graphics cards, this is just about as good as it gets.
It has no Firewire, eSata, or similar port. It has 3x USB 3.0 with a Line Out, Line in, and Headphone/Microphone on the left side. There are 2x USB 2.0 on the right side, presumably for mouse+keyboard if you desire. Its a bit annoying to plug it in on the right side, as I like to have my mouse as close to the keyboard as possible. HDMI/VGA on the back. Typical ports there. Kensington, ethernet.
All in all the hardware is why you buy this computer. The GTX 780M is as good as it gets. 16GB of RAM is standard for this price. 120GB SSD + 1TB HDD is minimum for me. I would have preferred a 250GB + 1TB 7200 RPM (Rather than 5400 RPM).
The processor is a 4800MQ, which is a bit rare. Most CPU's in these laptops from BestBuy have a 4700MQ. Which is 2.4 GHZ (3.4 Turbo'd). This one is a bit better at 2.7 @ 3.7 Turbo'd.
The controls on the keyboard are P1 and P2, which you can choose what , a media button that opens up a media application. A exhaust fan that you can turn on and off. It reduces temps by about 10C, but is extremely loud. You have airplane mode, a button to disable the display, and a button to eject the drive.
Which reminds me, this drive has a DVD burner, but no Blu-Ray technology. It doesn't bother me, as I have a PS3, but it might bother you. So keep this in mind.
The speakers (One on the left, one on the right, and a small subwoofer on the bottom) are nice. The sound feels a little dampened, like its coming from behind a wall, but I am a bit of an audiophile. For laptop speakers, they are impressive. If you have two or three people watching a youtube video, it serves that purpose pretty well.
Overall, if this is an affordable price for you, its a nice laptop. It would be nice to have an eSata port, a nicer SSD and HDD (But you can buy replacements for those very easily), and the exhaust fan could be quieter. Would also be great if it had a Blu-Ray burner/player, but you can buy an external option for that that isn't too bad.
