Q: Why does it come with an ethernet cable? I thought via the wps buttons on the router and range extender it links up wirelessly? I'm confused.

A: You don’t need to use the router port but it comes with it. The wps button links up to it in a few seconds. Very easy to set up.

Q: Can I pick this up at easy town today?

A: Questions in this section are answered by other consumers. I suggest you call the store, or select pick up in store and go to check out and see what happens.

Q: Can I install the extender inside the garage? Cools down to -20℃ = -4.0℉ during the winter.

A: If you look at https://www.cnet.com/products/d-link-dap-1620-wi-fi-range-extender/specs/, it says that the temp range that this is suited for is from 32F to 104F. Since you are taking it down an additional 40F, this would not be recommended to do. Will the unit work down as cold as you want. Most likely. But ,what you will find out is that over time, this unit is going to have a higher than normal failure rate due to the unit seeing dramatic temperature changes.
