Q: Does the interior light come on when you open the door?
A: Yes it does.
Q: Answer if you've had this microwave more than a year, please.
A: works as well as it did the first day of service. Would have preferred a less stiff door opening button because the entire unit moves when attempting to open the door due to the force necessary to push the button. Sometimes the buttons on the control panel need to be pushed more than once for a response.
