Deep Blue Sea 2 follows the story line of the original, and has many more action sequences. The enhanced CGI capabilities since the original (made in 1999) enable more life-like scenes involving sharks. Definitely a good addition to any suspense/horror movie collection.

I had high expectations of “Deep Blue Sea 2”, as the original, “Deep Blue Sea“, was great. Unfortunately, I was let down. I saw too many similarities from the original that it seemed like a B-Movie rip off. My husband didn’t give it high marks either. As much as I love sharks, I do not recommend this movie. If you still want to watch this movie, you might want to rent it first. Definitely a one time watch.
