Q: Reviews show this is slow. Is it slow and not good for high school student?
A: My daughter says this laptop is slow . . . and she is only in the 9th grade. Imagine what it will be like for an upper classman. By the way, one of the hinges didn't last the first month. Of course, Best Buy didn't want to deal with it. And when I sent it back to Dell, their assessment was "wear and tear" and wanted $200 to repair it, nearly what a new one costs. I'd spend a little more for the blue model with a larger hard drive and pray your student doesn't destroy it.
