Good laptop
Posted .I’ve now had this new laptop for 6 months. I like all the functions. Battery life has been great. The resolution is the best I’ve had on any laptop. I like the FULLER screen and minor frame. Was a little hesitant about it being more fragile as I tend to move my laptop with me a lot. It’s been nice and the weight is sturdy. I don’t really use the touchscreen but I may use it more as I’m adjusting. Pros Comes with a stylus Resolution A+ Dimensions are perfect Cons Doesn’t have a number pad for a 15.6”, but for $19.99 I grabbed a USB one elsewhere which works good. —— -I find it boots up quickly -Easy to navigate -I went with the 16g/512gb SSD It works for me. I use it primarily for word, excel, photos and some browsing. Not a gamer. -I spent an extra $30 and grabbed a travel case for added protection when traveling. It’s a good laptop for a student or someone that runs a small at home business or just needs to connect to social media and email. DELL is also a reliable brand I trust

Posted .Joex,
Thanks for your review. We would suggest that you follow up with Best Buy's Geek Squad as the specifications that are listed on the page for this system's graphics card are correct. Please let us know if you have any additional questions: http://dell.to/2sH7Qlm.

Amazing laptop for media viewing and productivity
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI've been searching for a lightweight laptop for a while that packed a bit of a punch. While this laptop may be heavy to some users, I had no problem bringing it with me to class. As a college student I need something reliable that is fast. The NvME SSD paired with the i7 CPU work very well with each other. After re-configuring Windows 10 to free up some resources, the laptop was extremely fast and handled everything I threw at it. 4K video watching, light 3D modelling, Photoshop, and basic productivity work. I would like to praise Dell for releasing such a well built machine, especially with the Dell Cinema display, the screen is just absolutely gorgeous. Would definitely recommend the 7000 series to my friends.

Please learn from my experience!!!
|Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendSo, I had a tough time choosing between the Lenovo, Asus and Dell. All comparable models. I went with the Dell because it was slightly cheaper than the ASUS and seemed better constructed than the Lenovo. Initially, I was pleased with the Dell display and construction. Also, I liked the fingerprint access. I did notice from the start that the screen had some bleed of colors when scrolling. The problems started when I was using a program for work that activates a new window depending on what is selected within the window. Well, 20% of the time the screen would randomly jump from window to window to window without me inputting anything. This was concerning since I have had other computers that handle multiple windows from this program flawlessly. Since I liked the computer to that point I figured I would contact Dell customer support. They walked me through a few diagnostics and determined that the hardware was fine and that it must be a software issue in which case there is a charge to troubleshoot that. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I just bought the computer and it wasn't working right but now I had to pay to troubleshoot???? UM NO! Long story short I took it back to Best Buy and ended up going with the ASUS Zenbook. Which, I am very happy with after one day. That review is coming. So, this computer's problem could have been a faulty Windows Operating System or something else. I will never know, but the fact that Dell didn't stand by their product entirely out the box made me switch to another computer company all together. Very disappointed with such a big name brand.

Great for medium graphics setting on games.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI wouldn't pay the price point they are pitching for this machine. picked it up for 830 open box. I'll just get to the point. The Bad - Doesn't always switch over to tablet mode on its own. I have to swivel the screen closed and then open it again. Part of the black bezel on the screen can be pushed in with my finger. Bottom Right Corner. Feels cheap in that aspect. possibly a design flaw or its just the one I have. Overall I am satisfied that it can run most games and demanding games like Rust and Ark on lower settings. it could not however run Blur on max setting. I was hoping since it is an older game. I would love to see how it handles Crysys. Business wise its Great. Packs a big punch and for the hardware inside its a decent weight. Handles heat well. The computer does get hot but keep in mind that max temperature the CPU can get to is 200 Degrees Fahrenheit. I can't say this is a con. I love the fact that I can depend on dells warranty if it doesn't hold up to the defined specs. Bottom Line, pick one up if it's on sale not full price.

Pretty good laptop overall

Quality3 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Writing this after about a year of use. We like this laptop. For the price, it has been good overall. We have had no major issues with the laptop and use it a lot every day for business and personal. The only issue we have had is the tendency to kick out of wifi internet requiring more than desired reconnections. This cannot be the wifi strength as we have used with two top-of-the-line modem/routers from Xfinity with other devices/laptop have zero similar issues. Also, would have liked the keyboard to have more as well as better-placed key options.

Q: QuestionHow is the battery life for say average use (internet surfing, MS office product use, occasional video)? 10 hours or better? Or is it more in the 5 hour range?
Asked by Nick.
- A:Answer The 4K display is what draws a lot of power from what I've heard. Definitely towards 5 hours of the type of activity you listed.

Q: QuestionI had to return this laptop because of backlight bleeding (please see photo). I got a replacement, and it has the same issue, not as bad as the first. Is this a common problem for this model? Anyone else notice the same thing with their unit?
Asked by Steve.
- A:Answer I have not had this problem.

Q: QuestionDoes it have Thunderbolt USB-C port ?
Asked by Thunderbolt.
- A:Answer This is actually a complicated question tbh, you can do different things that a TB can do including charging via USB c port and mine has a dp logo by it which means it can output the full dp protocol so its like a Thunderbolt port but it still cant do the high bandwidth that a tb could. Mine DID charge via usb c which i was actually pretty excited to find out to go along with my 1 cord does all setup.
