Adobe premiere workhorse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine is a workhorse for adobe premiere editing. Double the ram and sell the memory that came with it. Edits 4K footage with little resistance. I wish the case was a little more expansion friendly but for the money this is a good buy.

So Far so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this computer for about a month now. Replaced old computer that died. Geek Squad did a great job recovering old data. Have installed a windows 7 emulator for my older autocad program- seems to work well. Computer is FAST and responsive. So Far So Good

Great machine with a limited power supply
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dell Inspiron 5680 combines a lot of great attributes in a smallish case and a limited power supply. It will run just about any PC game out there at 1080p at maximum graphics settings with few issues. It's hard to argue with what you get for the price. The one thing holding back future gaming (e.g. graphic card) upgrades is the 460 watt power supply. But Geek Squad easily replaced that with a standard size Corsair unit of higher wattage. I was worried that a standard power supply wouldn't fit (it looked like a tiny non-standard space) but it turned out not to be an issue. The smaller size of the case (my last gaming PC was considerably larger) does mean that installing 2 graphic cards could be problematic. Though I haven't actually tested that. At a glance it just doesn't look like there's enough room to fit a second graphic card beside the existing one. But it should be able to handle 1 average size graphic card easily enough. Which was adequate for my needs as I anticipate simply upgrading to the best graphic card I can afford on a limited budget every few years. The Inspiron 5680 I bought was easy to set up and has been running smoothly. The inclusion of a small solid state drive was a big help. Since Windows boots from that solid state drive, the machine boots up very fast compared to my last desktop PC. I am a budget casual gamer who just wants to be able to play most games at high settings at 1080p (or maybe 1440 someday) graphics. I also want to be able to upgrade it down the road with better graphic cards to keep it current. The Inspiron 5680 gives me the ability to do that. I can't give it 5 stars because of the limitations of the 460 watt power supply it comes with. But once you overcome that hurdle with an after-market upgrade she's a solid machine for the money for casual regular gamers.

Great computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Computer runs nice and quiet and performs better than expected. I am very pleased with my purchase and believe that you would be too. Do keep in mind though that if your looking for a cd/dvd/Blu-ray drive that you will need to purchase this item separately as an external device because there is not one built in to this tower.

Great Computer - FAST and POWERFUL
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is meeting and exceeding my expectations. It is very fast and very Powerful. I use it for photo and video editing and music storage and syncing. I love it. The only thing I would have like is the case to accept an internal blu ray burner.

Great deal for what you get
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you price out the individual components of this PC, it’s obvious that you’re getting a good deal. Only reason for 4 stars is the physical size... it’s about 30lbs, which is a lot for a college student that moves frequently. Otherwise, operation and appearance is perfect! Still runs like day one, I’ve never had an issue.

Plays any game out there with ultra settings
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This PC was a great deal. It has a high end CPU with brand names I like: Intel and NVIDIA. No game can slow it down, even VR games. The price was impossible to beat considering all that this PC has to offer.

Q: QuestionHow will this computer do with 4K video editing on higher end video editing softwares such as Permier Cut Pro and Davinci Resolve? Will it be buttery smooth?
Asked by MisterCas.
- A:Answer So far the computer has been working marvelous. It runs premier cut pro perfect. My only advice is that put a more capacity SSD drive so you can have enough space to install more software.

Q: QuestionI have a question on upgradable video. This one has the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. Will it handle the next step up to the 1080?
Asked by Hedonikos.
- A:Answer It has a 460 watt power supply. There's not a lot of room for graphic card upgrades with that. I took mine to Best Buy and had Geek Squad install a Corsair power supply unit for me. With 600 watts or more you can run pretty much any graphics card you want. The power supply really is the thing holding this computer back. I'd recommend upgrading the power supply almost right away so you just don't have to worry about this issue.

Q: QuestionWhy in the world would you NOT have a CD/DVD read write drive on it, OR an SD/mini SD etc. card reader on it? If it had that I would very seriously consider buying one.
Asked by Thane49.
- A:Answer I use to feel the same way, but I realize how much I don’t use cd’s anymore as a form of media transfer. The performance of this thing is killer. Never thought I would ever buy a pre-made rig either (or a Dell for that matter. ). I’m very happy with my purchase.

Q: QuestionHow many USB ports ?
Asked by Nerak.
- A:Answer There are 10 ports in all. 6 on the back, 4 of which I believe are 3.0 ports. There are 4 on the front, 2 of which I believe are 3.0 ports. Other 4 ports are 2.0 ports. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionLooking to replace my Dell PC, is this one good for video editing?
Asked by Ceijake.
- A:Answer Video editing would be more of a software issue. This computer is fast and has a great memory capacity. If you are looking for a program to edit video on, I can assure you that you will have the space to house this software and run it sufficiently.

Q: QuestionI’m wanting a good gaming pc to play games like Rainbow, Witcher, or even mincraft, been struggling looking for a good pc and this seems to be a pretty goo pc based off the specs. So would this fit my request of using it to game.
Asked by Derpterp.
- A:Answer The specs live up to their expectations. Fallout 4 with ultra settings runs great, no issues. Minecraft VR is glitch free and seamless (though I'm still working on conditioning my mind for the complete VR experience). I haven't played games online with a bunch of other people, but I don't think it will make a difference with this computer.
