Q: Will this or any 4k receiver will work in a no 4k tv??
A: Yes it will, the 4k feature is a benefit for the future when you actually will get a 4k tv
A: It does pass through HDR signal. Looks amazing!
A: They make component to HDMI boxes. Then you can use the HDMI port and output to HDMI monitor. Some even say they improve the pic quality

A: If these newer Denons are anything like my 1909, the surround back inputs can be set to either play in a full 7.1 setup, or within the AVR menu, you can set Surround Back inputs to be assigned to Zone 2 and play separately from zone 1.
