Q: Will this plug into a phone with a case on?
A: Yes. It works just fine. I have used mine with many different cases and have never had an issue.
Q: What do I need to connect iPod in car?
A: Your car has to have CarPlay feature. You will need to install a usb cable from the back of the radio to the front if it is an after market. If it is stock you just need a lighting cable to connect it to the usb on the car.
