Modern day storytelling of a Jane Austen Classic
||Posted .Jane Austen's 'Emma', played by the lovely Gwyneth Paltrow as the self-made, insistent know-it-all, though well-intentioned matchmaker, is back. She not only makes poor choices in her attempts to promote their 'ideal mates' to her friends and companions but totally cannot see the opportunity for happiness that presents itself right in front of her own 'nosey' nose. A fun movie, re-made in modern times with the great romantic story-telling of Jane Austen.

Gwyneth Paltrow portrays a 'yenta' matchmaker
||Posted .Emma thinks she knows best who would be the perfect match for her friends and recommends who their life's companion should be.... but she turns out to be totally wrong in every one of her recommendations, including her inability to recognize her own 'best companion', toward whom she is totally blind.

Lovely and hilarious!
Posted .My sister and I read the book, then watched the movie. It is the best movie adaptation I've ever seen! It was funny, and the actors perfectly captured the characters. Of course, they had to leave some things out, but my sister and I loved it!
